25.01.2022 TL:DR FoAP was awesome and we're going to follow it up with more awesome. We did it! FoAP was a big success thanks to everyone's input and support. We stormed the city with 50 people for the finale jam, rolling in the tracks of our tireless beacon of inspiration, the Point A tyre. It was amazing to see so many faces new and old coming together. A real celebration of Adelaide Parkour. So here's a follow up from us on the cool stuff yet to come out of the festival. ... Come along to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Sunday https://fb.me/e/gKMMrN0SZ Along with updating you on all the behind the scenes and electing our new committee, we will be jumping around, presenting giveaways and some community statistics from our FoAP surveys. Make sure you put all your photos and footage in our group dropbox here https://www.dropbox.com/home/FoAPJam%20Footage%20Drop It's not for promotional purposes, rather just so you can all find some clips of yourself and everyone. We're going to mash it up into a community style edit so stay in touch. Finn @finn.ished.photos took photos all through the week. We will pick a bunch of our favourites and you will be seeing more of them for sure. We might even make some available as prints down the track. During the week we collected almost 100 surveys which we will translate into some cool insights and reveal at the AGM. Everybody who filled in a survey is entered into the draw to win $150 Skochypstiks store credit and the person who submitted the most voted for spot name will win a $75 Crumpler voucher. The winner of both giveaways will be drawn at the AGM. It would be a shame if the winner isn't there to hear their name called so lets all go! For now, rest up! Look after yourself and take a little downtime with light training. Our branding and logo project is in full swing and we need your ideas to inspire us. Have a chill brainstorm sketch session this week and send us your concepts/ideas/inspirations/doodads by this Friday 9th Oct. You don't need to be good at drawing to have ideas. Just read our brief to see what we're looking for and get your imagisparkles moving https://drive.google.com//1GcXMHdVCdwwTORb9DHqV0xEeb/view

19.01.2022 Hi all We have decided to extend our suspension of gatherings for another week. This includes our Sunday community class and the upcoming Monthly Jam. Updated restrictions came into place yesterday and we are allowed to return to community sport. However, our public gatherings currently follow an open format which presents difficulties in contact tracing and physical distancing. While there is a risk of community transmission in Adelaide we believe it is important for the hea...lth of our community to avoid large gatherings. Our advice is to continue training in your local area and with at most a few friends. Avoid public gatherings where you don’t know who/how many might join. Wear a mask and wash your hands where possible. Watch this space as we are reviewing our decision week by week with regards to restrictions and the current situation. We hope to see you all soon!
18.01.2022 Come join us this afternoon! Yeah, you. Here's the link:
17.01.2022 Makeover time! We are putting on our makeup, getting our hair done and strutting up and down Rundle Mall looking for the eyecatchingest threads. First round of community consultation for our logo and style guide project begins now! Have your input in how your association will look hereafter or forever hold your peace. All ideas, inspirations, sketches and suggestions to be submitted to Pat by 9th October.

12.01.2022 A reminder for everyone that this Sunday class will not run, as we have suspended SAPA gatherings with regards to the current Covid situation. Updated restrictions are expected to come into place on Monday and we will review the suspension then. Stay tuned for more details and in the meantime, make sure to train in your local area. Go exploring for spots and challenges, and work on building your strength and technique for when we all come together again. Stay safe!
12.01.2022 The plan is coming together for FoAPJam! Its a classic tyre jam Plus. That means we bring our massive tyre around the city to our favourite spots. You roll in and out whenever you want, hitting jumps, hanging out or spitting rhymes. However you jam, you jam. The Plus means we're going to have some opt in games and workshops happening throughout the day. It means half time oranges. It means a DJ pumping beats around town with us from their decked out van. And it means a com...munity survey to show the world who AdlPK is (more details to come) Get yourself and anyone else along whether they jump or move or not! SCHEDULE 13:00 - Vic Square Meetup 14:30 - Wolf Blass Tech Shakedown 16:00 - Rundle Mall Rolling Jam 17:00 - Grenfell S.T.I.C.K. 18:00 - Wind up for Chinatown Dinner
09.01.2022 NOMINATIONS BY SUN 4th https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSf5Zfun3E6Qu7UAq/viewform Hey everyone, It’s been fantastic to see so many people out for FoAP so far. Thank you all for your support! Hot on the heels of Saturday’s FoAPJam comes the 2020 SAPA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday October 11th. We meet at 4pm at the AFC amphitheatre, where fifty or so of us met pretty well exactly ten years ago to discuss starting APA classes in Adelaide.... We will update you on everything that SAPA is doing right now and some of the awesome projects we have on the list, but the big event of the AGM is the election of a new committee to make decisions for SAPA. If you are passionate about how parkour and the community grows in South Australia this is an opportunity for you to step up. We’re right at the beginning of an exciting time for SAPA and this committee really has a chance to make a huge impact not just on our little family, but on the state we live in and the wider world of parkour. This year we’re changing up what the committee does a little. SAPA employs an operations team to coordinate the actual work of running our projects and the association, so the committee for 2020/2021 will be a representative committee. With gymnastics and mass media making decisions that affect our practice it’s more important than ever to have real practitioners who have poured their sweat and tears into the concrete stepping up to make our own decisions. Committee members will be expected to attend monthly meetings (*read dinner parties) and vote for what they think is the right decision on any question the operations team asks us. Their job is to represent the interests of the community and the association. Committee members are also legally responsible for the association. If it goes bankrupt they are liable. They are NOT expected to do the work of SAPA or anything really beyond turning up to make informed decisions. That will be the job of our operations team, though everyone is of course welcome to volunteer on our projects. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to step into the drivers seat of SAPA without having to worry about it consuming your free time. If you’re interested in being more involved in driving SAPA in the right direction have a chat to us and make sure you nominate for a position by sunday 4th via the link
09.01.2022 BBQ starts at 1pm today so bring your eats and salad. Otherwise eat now and forever hold your peace. But also bring #EnergySnacks cos we'll be jammin into the night.
08.01.2022 There's a lot on the calendar at the moment! Hot on the heels of Festival of Adelaide Parkour (FoAP) and FoAPJAM - Adelaide Parkour Tyre Jam we also have the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of our association and community. Check the event for an explanation :) It has certainly been a year! In fact, over a year - as this has been delayed due to COVID. So come catch up on everything that has happened for SAPA since May 2019. PS - Members you would have received an email last night with formal notice of the AGM. If you haven't, you might need to update your details with us.

07.01.2022 Gym Session for 7-15yo Parkour students, Tuesday night! Amongst all the Festival of Adelaide Parkour (FoAP) crazyness going on, we just wanted to make sure you heard that we're hosting a Kids Gym Sesh @ Koorana Gymnastics. 6:30-7:30pm. Intended for students of all our programs. No charge for this one either - but as always donations to SAPA welcome. Koorana is in a building behind the Marion YMCA on Oaklands Rd - at the BACK of the carpark.... For the non-kids; Open Gym Sesh after that. Plus a jam at the Oaklands Recreation Plaza across the road during the day (11:30am-2pm).

There are more ideas in the works for giveaways. Stay tuned and dust off your training shoes.
05.01.2022 Hey all, in light of the current covid situation in SA we are suspending all SAPA gatherings until further notice. This includes Sunday community classes, Monthly Jam, and private classes run by our instructor network. We also recommend the Adelaide Parkour Community to train in your local area and avoid large gatherings/jams in the city. When you go training please wear a mask and wash your hands as often as is practical. There has been a lot of great training happening late...ly and now it’s even more necessary to get your daily dose of creativity, inspiration, movement and achievement from the concrete. SAPA will be thinking of ways to keep our community connected, active and strong going forward so keep in touch! We will post any updates here. Stay safe and be considerate!
03.01.2022 With regards to SA restrictions, we have decided to continue our suspension of organised gatherings until further notice. Instead, we encourage everyone to train in your local area where permitted by current restrictions. Keep an eye on us here! we will be sending out a community challenge for th...e Sunday class time slot that you can join in from anywhere. Stay safe!
