22.01.2022 Hi All Just in case your not aware there is boil water notice out for a lot of suburbs that you all probably live in including Belgrave South & Belgrave Heights. If your not sure if you are effected check the social media accounts or websites of your water provider for more information - most likely either South East Water or Yarra Valley Water. City West Water customers are not effected.... A boil water notice means you should boil (and let cool or refrigerate if you prefer cold) water for drinking, food preparation, making baby formula & brushing teeth. Showering, bathing & hand washing can still occur using tap water. Your alcohol supplies are not effected, but if your making fresh ice for your drinks again use boiled water not direct from the tap. Another challenge for us all, be smart & stay safe everyone.
19.01.2022 As part of the return to cricket, the South Belgrave Cricket Club needs to have people check in when they attend training or games. This will be done through the 1breadcrumbs App. To make things simpler & smoother we ask members & people who plan to regularly attend training sessions or games to download the App and set up an account prior to attending. For junior players & visitors who are unable to perform this task themselves, their parents should do this on their behalf ...- the club will provide assistance on how to do this for you all. If parents are creating an account on their own phone it should be in the parents own name not your child's. When required at training & games you will check in & add the child/children as accompanying you. When you arrive to the ground you simply check in manually or scan the Site QR Code to record your attendance.

08.01.2022 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT ABOUT JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS To all South Belgrave CC Junior members and family, We know this has been a challenging time for everyone however I have been given some good news with a start date for junior cricket to resume. It looks like if everything goes well with the lock down restrictions easing, the season will be starting on the Friday 13th of November. ... This start date is only if all goes well with us coming out of lock down with the dates that Daniel Andrews has given us. Game day and training will be very different this year due to the COVID safety guidelines. We have not yet been advised by Cricket Victoria regarding the specifics of those changes. We have been advised that there will be no sharing of equipment, players must register with their club before every game and training session. Due to the inability to share equipment under the new rules, we would like to ask families who may have spare pads, gloves, bats etc if they would like to donate to the club. This would be very much appreciated. If you are an existing South Belgrave CC player or you are a new one and don’t have any equipment don’t worry, as the club will sort out the equipment for the players without any. I am hoping all going well we can start training 4 weeks before the season starts, once we have confirmed start dates. Registration for this season is open on MyCricket and it would be great if we start to look at registering our kids so we can work out number for our teams. If you have been affected financially by Covid please make contact with me so we can sort something out as the most important thing is that our kids are playing sport. This year we are also running the Woolworth Blast for the young boys and girls who would like to start playing cricket, just waiting to hear back from the league and once I know I will send it out to everyone. If anyone has any questions regarding fees and the start date, please don’t hesitate to give me a call on 0488011119 or email me [email protected] So, to all players and families please stay safe, I look forward to seeing everyone once we can get season 20/21 under way Regards Kelvin O'Brien South Belgrave CC President
