20.01.2022 ETSA Meter Box Locks ETSA meter box locks have been a hot topic in the media in recent times. And with most meter boxes both visible and accessible from the street securing your power is a must. Upon installation of your ETSA lock you will receive 2 keys that exclusively fit your lock. The meter reader carries a master key that automatically fits all ETSA locks so there is no need to send off a key or leave a key out for the meter reader. Simply just notify your power provid...er once your ETSA lock has been fitted. If your meter box is behind a locked gate or enclosed within your house or shed there are ETSA lock options to overcome these situations too. Contact Southbound Locksmiths on 0407 776 595 anytime to discuss your requirements. See more

19.01.2022 Please share. We had to change house locks for Barbara today due to keys and her car being stolen from her home in the southern area on Saturday night 9/9/17. Please be on the lookout for this red Mitsubishi Triton and report to police if seen.

13.01.2022 See these lovely colourful little pins? They're all different sizes too and are inside your locks. Every week we remove, rearrange and replace hundreds of these little suckers so old keys don't work anymore and only new ones do. Did you know - You don't always have to completely replace locks when keys are lost or stolen. In most cases we can rekey your existing locks for a fraction of the cost. The pin tray on the left is how you want it to be every time you get it out. The pin tray on the right is a result of van vs speed hump and makes for a bad start to the day. Lucky it doesn't happen too often

11.01.2022 > Front Door Lock vs. Back Door Lock < You bought a house or just moved into your new rental, you updated the lock and you felt safe. And now all your valuables... are gone, someone broke into your home. But how? The front door looks fine! This is the moment you realise that you didn’t update the back door, the garage door, the window locks or the veranda door. Unfortunately, you are not alone! When a Master Locksmith is hired to do a security assessment of a residential or commercial property, what he/she sees quite often is a relatively modern lock at the front door and sometimes extremely outdated locks everywhere else. That is because owners usually use the front door, so it seems logical to keep that door as secure as possible. But let’s be honest, when was the last time you heard about a burglar using the front door? We recommend to assess the security of a property every 2 to 5 year, and by that, we mean every door, every window, every entrance point and every lock and every key. Because even just a small thing like a worn out barrel can be a major security hazard. Master Locksmiths are trained to find the weakest spot and then recommend a cost effective way to secure that spot. It isn’t always necessary to replace locks, sometimes an update of existing technology is enough. Get in contact with a Master Locksmith and get your property assessment tomorrow: http://www.masterlocksmiths.com.au

08.01.2022 > Lost the keys to your beauty? < If you have ever restored a car or just bought a vintage car you know that getting all the keys is vital and unfortunately, s...ometimes impossible. Older cars had different keys for different parts, one for the doors, one for the boot, one for the glove box, one for the ignition, even one for the bonnet, a lot of keys that can get lost over the years or that just wear out. So what is the solution to lost keys and worn out locks? Driving around with a screwdriver in the ignition lock might not be very practical, drilling a hole into you beauty might not be very smart. > Call a Master Locksmith! < With over 700 Master Locksmiths in Australia and New Zealand, there is always a helping hand nearby. We are well trained, experienced and most of us are petrol heads just like you. We can cut keys or produce them from scratch, we repair and restore locks and of course, we can open doors, bonnets, boots or the glove box without damaging the paint job or the interior. So, when it’s about automotive and lock and keys, get in touch with a Master Locksmith in your area: www.masterlocksmiths.com.au

07.01.2022 When choosing a safe make sure you get the right one for the job. Safes are usually split into two categories, either fire protective or theft protective. And, if holding an amount of cash, needs to have a cash rating to cover the contents. We were called to a local shopping centre that were using this cheap fire protective safe to hold cash takings for a couple of days at a time. Burglars broke into the locked office through the ceiling and you can see the results. Unfortunately the wrong choice of safe here meant that insurance didn't cover the total $ amount stolen. We can supply all types of safes for home or office situations. Give us a call to discuss your requirements.

05.01.2022 So today marks the end of a year in shorts for my old mate Snebo, or as his mum calls him Andrew. 365 days straight without wearing long pants! Why you ask. Well, apart from being slightly mad, it has been to raise awareness of anxiety and depression and to support Beyond Blue. I sponsored him a dollar a day and it's not too late if you would like to make a contribution as well. Donations can be made by bank deposit to:... Beyond Blue Ltd BSB 083-026 Acct 586229784 And put 208290 as reference so it's allocated to his cause. If you or anyone you know need a bit of help go to www.beyondblue.org.au or contact Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636. Hats off Snebo!

02.01.2022 Beware of Locksmith scammers! Southbound Locksmiths are a proud accredited member of the Master Locksmiths Association and adhere by their code of ethics.
