06.01.2022 Congratulations to Oxley Sailing Club for winning both the "On the Nose" (Laser) and "Tristram Shield" (All Boats) prizes at the annual inter-club competition held on Sat 29 Feb 2020. A total of 22 boats competed with close racing between all classes including Lasers, Impulses and NS14s, SBSC reluctantly handed both trophies after holding them since the last comp in 2018. Thank you all for a great event!! It was a close race in the Lasers. Andrew Verrall in Jackdaw from SBSC ...showed he has lost none of his skills, winning both races. Groups of OSC lasers were ahead of similar size groups from SBSC to tip the score in favour of OSC. Ross Orchard in Epic from SBSC sailed well in both races. In the Tristram Shield, it was Andrew Triggell from OSC who won both races in his NS14, with Nev Murray and Megan Nobbs from SBSC coming in 3rd place in Race 1. In Race 2 Nick Hillier and Lara Hillier from SBSC finished in 2nd place sailing Thats Gold. The OSC Impse fleet blitzed SBSC through a combination of great sailing and the Australian Sailing Yardstick. For full results go to: https://www.sbsc.org.au//oxley-sailing-club-takes-out-bot/
