22.01.2022 The annual general meeting of the club was held tonight and once all the boring stuff was out of the way we were happy to have an eager beaver put their hand up and be nominated to the Position of President for the year 2021-22. President Elect David Castro comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge and the membership is very excited to see the direction he will take the club.
22.01.2022 Very disappointing to hear. I'm afraid we had reports of similar behaviour during the Yarloop Fires. If you experience suspicious behaviour, please contact your local Rotary club.
22.01.2022 In celebration of 40 years of amazing work we are donating $4000 to the Children's Leukaemia & Cancer Research Foundation Inc. - $100 for every fantastic year. Our club owes them a debt of gratitude for the help provided to one of member's sons 37 years ago and we have been proud supporters ever since. Keep up the great work!
22.01.2022 Please make sure you keep up to date with the current government rules. (Its hard I know) This one hasnt got much publicity but the fines are $20k for individuals. No more sporting activities of two or more people includes running, cycling and even lawn bowls. Please remember its not about finding a loophole. Only leave your house for essentials. FYI I took this off the government website for the full document ... https://www.wa.gov.au//Restriction%20of%20Activities%20Dir

17.01.2022 Gonged but not forgotten. President Davids time has come to an end and we welcomed President Peter Hill. Congratulations to David for his Stirling leadership over the past 12 months charting a course through COVID-19 and celebrating many successes along the way. Our club has raised nearly $100,000 with money going back into the community supporting mental health, foodbank, childrens leukaemia, youth programs and much more. We are a service club and we provide many times that which we raise in charity work as well. Congratulations to David and his board and indeed to all the members Best or luck to President Peter.

15.01.2022 Calling all Rotarians and Friends of Rotary. The place to be this weekend is at the Summit Realty Charity Dinner and Dance. The club is committed to selling atleast 2 tables and we still have some seats to spare. This will certainly be one of the best nights in Bunbury this year.
13.01.2022 Local Rotarians stepping up the fight against Covid19.
13.01.2022 On any normal week this carpark would be bustling with the Sunday Markets. Also, in response to COVID-19, the Rotary Club of Rockingham (Western Australia) was forced to cancel their District Conference this weekend, which was to attract hundreds of Rotarians. Rather than cancel our bookings, my family still decided to come, practice good social distancing behaviour and support local businesses. The weather and beach have been perfect. Thanks Rockingham!
12.01.2022 Last night was a massive night at our Xmas Party. Great fun all round plus a guest appearance from Father Christmas! I scored the best pressie :-) Have a great festive season everyone!
12.01.2022 Happy to see some smiling faces at Brunswick Junction Primary School and they arent the only school smiling! Thank you to the student councillors for showing u...s the processes they had to go through previously with washing the uniforms and having them ready for students use. We hope the dryer assists in making this easier for you and more effective. Earlier this year we held a Decades Quiz Night fundraiser to raise money for local government primary schools in our area. As a result of this, 3 schools received support: Brunswick Junction Primary School received a new clothes dryer to dry spare school uniforms after being washed. Carey Park Primary School put the donation towards purchasing more uniforms to keep as spares for students in need. Adam Road Primary School elected to put the donation into their Hardship Fund. Thank you to all of the community members and local businesses who came along to the event and donated on the night. You not only supported us as a club but most importantly 3 local schools! We are currently in the works of organising more fun events like our quiz night that will allow us to keep giving back to the wider community. Stay tuned and watch this space for future events. The Rotaract Club of Bunbury
12.01.2022 Congratulations Sarah.

11.01.2022 After an incredibly difficult year, we invite you to join us for this special service. At this reflective time of year, this is a chance to unite with others, remember and honour a loved one who has died. A service hosted by St Augustine Uniting Church and William Barrett and Sons. Many people have missed funeral services for loved ones due to restrictions this year and we hope this will help bring our community together as Christmas approaches. There will be a photographic memorial tribute and you are invited to send in a photo of your loved one. You can drop a hard copy into 9 Spencer Street or email a high resolution photo to [email protected]. Arrive from 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

09.01.2022 It's National Volunteer Week! Volunteers are needed by your community more than they have for a very long time and I can't remember a time where the benefits of giving back have been more clear. If you don't volunteer, just do it, it's win-win.

06.01.2022 Board nominations for the 2020-2021 Rotaract Australia executive are now open! Nominate now at https://forms.gle/ipuxe82xaMqoZSSQ8 . Nominations close April 30t...h at midnight AWST. Our vision (with chair Sam at the helm) for 2020-2021+ is to improve the Rotaract experience for members. The core Rotaract experience is delivered at club level which is where we want to start. If this is something you are passionate about, we want you! Each board role has specific responsibilities, but we will all work together to build momentum in the direction of this vision. It won't be completed in a year, or even two, but we hope to do it sustainably so every club, district and RA board going forward can have this foundation to build on. We will also continue all of the great work of the current and past Rotaract Australia boards have achieved for members. If you have any questions about a role, please feel free to reach out to the current executive or Sam directly at [email protected]! And if you know someone who would be great, please tap them on the shoulder and let them know!

06.01.2022 This life well its slipping right through my hands, these days turned out nothing like I had planned Life looks a little different than I thought it would, a...t 28. I always envisioned I would have kids by now, tiny little versions of me running around barefoot and naked, wind in their hair and sand on their feet. But instead of carrying around a baby, Im carrying around oxygen. Instead of being woken during the night to crying, its the hum of my BiPap holding my airways open. Instead of deciding on feeding techniques and nappy brands, were making decisions about lung transplants and new medications. Instead of fighting with a toddler about which shoes theyll wear, were fighting for a cure. Its not quite the life we had in mind when I met Aidan 6 years ago, but boy am I grateful Im still here, alive and well enough to continue dreaming. More than 50% of those living with CF dont make it to the age of 30. I plan on conquering that milestone and YOU can help US conquer Cystic FibrosisDonate via the link below #cysticfibrosisawarenessmonth https://www.givenow.com.au//public/DrivingtoConquerCysticF

Congratulations to the new Club President Margaret and Past President Michelle on an impressive year. 03.01.2022 Tonight we have Leisa Robertson speaking to our club from Newton Moore Senior High School introducing the Girl's Academy to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Their aim is to support and close the gap for socially disadvantaged students.
03.01.2022 Final numbers hot off the press. We squeezed in one more club just five hours before close. A total of 66 Rotary, Rotaract and Interact clubs were formed in our... district this year alone. We have whole heartedly answered the call of RI President Mark Maloney to #GrowRotary To the Rotarians in our District, Team 9212, this is your distinction and the best gift that you can bestow incoming District Governor Patrick Obath as he takes the lead.
02.01.2022 Theres some new signs going up around the city this week greeting all passes by and encouraging them to Choose Respect. Thanks To David Castro for working with main roads to replace our old signs and to Main Roads and Frontline Signs.
