23.01.2022 What a terrific effort - both donations and ticket sales - members are to be congratulated and thanked on both aspects and I'm sure that the winners will be delighted with their prizes. 1st Mike Berwick, 2nd Camo from Bowls for Life, 3rd Jan Kerrison and 4th Helen Wyker. The great turnout for the After Pennant Tea, which was well supported and more than happy with the meal provided, also had the chance to win a large crayfish, donated by Symo, and a $50 Bunnings voucher donated by Wendy Hodgetts and won by Andrew Woodard and Carleen Agar respectively. Huge thanks to Ben Jones, once again for his powers of raffle "persuasion" and Sherree, Chris, Claire, Jenny, Anne and Wendy in the kitchen. Fantastic job everyone.

15.01.2022 Fantastic Night at South Burnie for the Pre-Christmas Counter Tea. Great crowd of appreciative diners who left the club, as one patron told me, "full to the brim". Congratulations to all involved in the preparation, cooking and serving, bar staff, raffle salesman and everyone who attended. Thanks Marlene for the photo. Always a good sign when someone takes a photo of the food to show off to others!

03.01.2022 A great afternoon with lots of happy Melbourne Cup luncheon participants. Race Lady and Race Gentleman were judged by last year's Race Lady, Ruby Shephard ably assisted by Carol Miller. Race Lady Vicki Jones and Race Gentleman Peter Chipman were presented with Tasmanian wooden cheese boards made and donated by Mike Berwick. Great effort by the catering group, waitresses, sweep organisers and all who attended. Thanks also to Andrew Rossiter for organising an additional TV with GREAT audio!
