25.01.2022 South Coast would like to wish all of our players, coaches, umpires, supporters, sponsors and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year! Thank you for all of your support during what has been a challenging 2020. If you are around the courts during the holiday period and notice any vandalism please assist us by reporting it to local police - 5534 0222.... We will return from our break on Monday January 18. 24.01.2022 ATTENTION SET & GO TEAMS URGENTLY NEEDED FOR SUMMER COMPETITION We are urgently looking for one SET (U6-8) & one GO (U9-10) team to join our summer competition commencing next Wednesday 7 October. Games are played over 4 x 10 mins at 5pm under Netball Australia modified rules, with the competition running for 9 weeks until 2 December. We already have 7 x SET and 9 x GO teams, and ideally would love to have 8 and 10 in each age group to remove the need for byes. ... Whole teams are welcome as well as enquiries from individual players (limited spots available) seeking to join a team. So if you've previously played SET or GO this year and you've been just a little sleepy in signing up to play again in the summer comp, then please get in touch with Jackie Parra asap at [email protected] and we'll help find you a spot. If you've already been placed into a summer comp team, but haven't as yet registered, then please do so as soon as possible to confirm your position in that team. Vacancies will be filled on a first come first served basis. Cost is $75 per player for returning players, ie those that have already participated in a NetSetGo program in 2020. Final rounds next week 2 Dec with presentations to follow age group/timeslot FAIRPLAY PRINCIPLES & CODES OF CONDUCT A general reminder to ALL PARENTS & SPECTATORS to be mindful of appropriate behaviour towards our umpires, coaches, opposition players, other supporters, and our volunteers. Remember this is kids sport, it is not the Suncorp Super Netball League or International Test matches. Be mindful that children are watching and listening, so please check your behaviour and commentary South Coast upholds Netball Australia/QLD codes of conduct and FairPlay principles for all members and participants. 24.01.2022 LOST PROPERTY CLEANOUT 2020 Please note we have a large collection of metal drink bottles that has been steadily building over the summer competition, together with clothing, shoes, netballs and small jewellery items eg ear rings, bracelets, watches and even glasses. Next Wednesday (2 Dec) is our last competition week for the summer comp until we closedown for the Christmas/New Year and school holiday period. Please come along to the clubhouse next Wednesday and claim any items as we’ll be disposing of unclaimed items through charities or rubbish collection. The clubhouse will be open Wednesday between 9:30am until 7:30pm

22.01.2022 : - , & & : Final games this week for the Summer comp. SET & GO players will all be presented with medals following their games. Juniors, Cadets & Opens - 1st past the post format with & medals awarded to the top 2 teams of each division - presentations follow games... Juniors sees Tallebudgera Tornadoes & Miami Mustangs assured of the top 2 spots, with a similar story in Cadets Div 1 with Palm Beach Flames and Somerset Blue in 1st and 2nd respectively. Cadets Div 2 still has the main prize up for grabs with Cudgen Crew & Aztecs Eagles on 21 points and Robina SHS on 19. Cudgen Crew appear to be in the box seat for the final game playing the 4th placed Burleigh Dolphins, whereas Aztecs Eagles and Robina SHS will play each other to determine final placings for 2nd & maybe 1st. The Opens sees a 1 horse race for 1st with All Saints Navy holding a 6 point lead over 2nd place, however the battle for 2nd is down to the last round with Elite on 18 points, and Rivals & Lazaros both on 17 points. During recent months we have experienced a number of incidents of vandalism. Michael has been a strong advocate and supporter in assisting us with stopping anti-social behavior.
