22.01.2022 Good luck to our crews deploying to Queensland.

22.01.2022 After our second road crash job for the day, we think it’s time for a friendly reminder to please slow down when passing us at an incident. This will ensure we are all here for you should you require our help.

21.01.2022 Tonight’s training was in preparation for the fire season. Burn over training is an important part of being prepared to assist CFS during fires.

21.01.2022 Last nights training was the end of our road crash training block. This gave us ample opportunities to practice lifesaving skills and techniques. As you can see the vehicle suffered minimal damage, a quick cut and polish and it’ll be on the road in no time.

20.01.2022 It’s R U OK? Day, a day that reminds and encourages us to ask our family, friends and peers Are you OK?, allowing us to meaningfully connect with people and s...upport anyone struggling with life. This is such an important question to ask, and we encourage our volunteers and staff to have these conversations with each other and at home to support one another. We’re always there to help, so let’s make sure we help each other and ask R U OK? For more information about today and tips on how to start the conversation, visit the R U OK? website. https://www.ruok.org.au/

19.01.2022 We attended the launch of Operation Nomad today alongside South Australia Police, SA Country Fire Service, SA Metropolitan Fire Service and Minister for Police ...and Emergency Services Hon. Vincent Tarzia MP. This year, a group of State Emergency Service personnel will be supporting our colleagues at SAPOL with Operation Nomad, and we’re proud to be able to provide this assistance during this time.

16.01.2022 Tonight’s training we focused on road crash rescue techniques. In particular stabilising the vehicle in different positions and with different equipment. Here we have the Stab Fast system deployed, this system gives us a very stable platform from which we can rescue any casualties.

11.01.2022 It’s normal to feel worried during times of uncertainty. 11.01.2022 Today we had new crew members participating in a Rescue Operations course. As part of this course we had organised an exercise for them at Horseshoe Bay. Here are a few pictures of the exercise.

05.01.2022 One of the reasons we advise you don’t drive, walk or ride through floodwaters is because you can’t see what’s occurring underneath the surface. Here’s a good e...xample of what we mean. This is the Strzelecki Track, a popular route for outback travellers in South Australia. This damage to the road occurred due to the rain and floods up north. So, next time you’re driving and the road is flooded, don’t risk itturn around and find another way or wait for another time to cross. For more tips on how to be prepared for floods, visit our website. https://www.ses.sa.gov.au/site/flood.jsp Photos: SA Infrastructure and Transport

04.01.2022 Here are some pictures of the second job we were called out for today. It was a vehicle recovery down near the Murray mouth. As you will see Badger the dog was supervising from a comfortable position.

03.01.2022 Congratulations from the crew at South Coast.

03.01.2022 Today we had a busy start to the day. It started with a road crash rescue callout, and then a search. Her are a few pictures from members out searching with canine operations teams. It’s amazing to see the focus these dogs have when they are operational.

03.01.2022 Spring has sprung! We’ve seen both sunny and wintry weather over the last couple of weeks, and our volunteers continue to be out in all types of weather helping... the community. From fallen trees and large animal rescues to vehicle recoveries and marine rescues, our volunteers are highly trained in many ways to keep South Australian communities safe. Well done and thank you to our amazing volunteers for their ongoing commitment and hard work, no matter the weather.
