23.01.2022 Great news for our partners Humanitix, congratulations. These folks keep going from strength to strength and provide a top of the line ticketing platform. In these times of COVID restrictions pre registration and ticketing for events is critical to ensure a safe event for everyone. Drop us a line if you would like to find out more.

22.01.2022 Get on down to Soundgarden at the Burradise Community Garden this Friday for Fire Relief Fundraiser w/ Joe Mungovan and Friends. Community getting together to raise funds for fire relief in a beautiful space. Music by the community for the community.

22.01.2022 Can you support our local community run hall? One of the best live music venues in the Shoalhaven. Tomerong Hall needs your help. Due to the hall having no bookings and gigs due to COVID19, plus an enormous insurance bill of over $5000, Tomerong hall is in great need of some extra income to keep it running. So please help keep Tomerong hall going and help us raise funds to keep our beloved Hall alive by buying an engraved paver. Pavers can be engraved with one name, a fami...ly name, or even your family pet if you wanted to! What a great way to commemorate a loved one or a great time you have had at the hall, or even as a Christmas present. All engraved pavers will be permanently installed on the grounds surrounding Tomerong School of Arts. Cost of a tile is $66.00, next step is to go to our website and fill in a form with the wording you want. See more

21.01.2022 The Beez (from Berlin!) are coming to Tomerong Hall, Sunday February 16th. The Beez are your favourite record store. You know, the one that went out of business a few years back? Now re-opened in a slightly funkier part of town? Yeah, thats the one. Come in. Browse. Hmm, quite a selection, and its a lot bigger in here than it looks from outside. Colourful clientele, knowledgeable staff!... Thatll be Peter DElia over there, running the Country, Bluegrass and Americana section, but youll also find him moonlighting in metal and prog rock. Hes from San Francisco, a demon banjo and dobro picker and singer who also writes some mighty fine tunes, from heart-rending ballads to tales of being treated like a soundcheck by some misguided gal. And over here - looks like the German department, but its hard to tell - an album from Queen, some Bowie, a little Berlin Cabaret and Bert Kaempfert, but also some pretty confronting stuff in German and English about the dangers of taking selfies and gentrification in Berlin. Deta Rayner, native Berliner, founded this store 20 years back. Angels voice. And what an accordion player! That bass youre hearing? Its accordion - a rare helicon bass specimen, one octave lower than what youre used to. Feel free to move around. Enjoy the diversity. You wouldnt want to spend your whole life drinking just chardonnay, would you? Over here, looks like post-punk, blues and funk- even a little Barry White. Must be Rob Rayner who, like Barry, sings bass baritone, but also plays some very tasty, rootsy electric guitar. Forsook his native Sydney for Berlin 30 odd years ago. Nice songs over here, too! The Beez play an average 120 shows a year, primarily in Europe, but extending to major folk festivals in Canada and Australia, having appeared at (amongst others) Woodford, Port Fairy and The National folk festivals. The Beez have also appeared on ABC TVs Spicks and Specks. They will be touring Australia for the 10th time from January to May 2020.

14.01.2022 Hi friends my name is Damion and I am a muso based in the Illawarra Shoalhaven and have been playing around the traps for decades both solo and in various bands. Last year I took over South Coast Tickets which was set up by local musicians to create a locally based online hub that supports independent gigs and community run events. An online platform to host your events, support you in engaging audiences and an ethical state of the art online ticketing platform. We are fort...unate to be in partnership with Humanitix who are a Sydney based not-for-profit ticketing platform that gives events impact. We make event management a delight, and direct 100% of profits from booking fees toward education projects. Humanitix are always reviewing their ticketing platform to ensure it stays in line with and often exceeding the latest standards being set by the larger overseas based ticketing companies. www.humanitix.com/au/about-us Obviously Covid has had a massive impact on the creative music and arts industry and when it hit we cancelled numerous events between Wollongong and Bega having to refund over 500 tickets to various events. We are incrementally reactivating and it so good to see face to face live gigs starting come back.. On our website you can have a feature page for your band or venue and have all your ticketing accessible on one page. We also have a newsletter with over 2,000 subscribers which we can utilise to help get the word out about your event. Have a look around our website and if you would like to know more please don't hesitate to contact us. www.southcoasttickets.com.au

12.01.2022 Good words shared from our friends Fusion Boutique in the Blue Mountains. There are a great range of ways you can continue to support artists. "ON HELPING MUSICIANS : Musicians have gone from limited income to zero in a matter of days. Our thoughts today for helping them are : - Buy an ALBUM from Bandcamp every day. (I'm sure there are some artists / tunes that you have been listening to that you are yet to actually pay for. Bandcamp.com is great because a very high % of t...he dosh goes directly to the artist. The site is easy to use too.) You can choose to up the purchase price too.... - Pick 5 artists and SPONSOR them via Patreon (or similar). - consider assisting an artist to STREAM a concert. We can still listen to music made live, and pay for it too. - Donate some $ to www.supportact.org.au, who live to assist our musicians ~ body and soul. - Encourage your favourite artist to write, record, make more stuff, and offer to sponsor them for the pleasure of looking forward to new creations. Some musicians will actually start to go bonkers if they can't sing their songs / toot their horns to an audience on a regular basis. But hey, we're in a tech age, and we can stay connected. Let's see how creative and connected we can actually be... Thanks Cathy Kirkpatrick

12.01.2022 It is with some regret that The Bombie suspends it’s operations and cancels all events that are currently on sale, as of today .We are following the advice of t...he Australian Government to help prevent the spread of the Corona Virus .We will make announcements soon about how ticket holders can gain refunds or donate their tickets to the artists involved. Hopefully, when the threat of the pandemic has passed, we can resume bringing you gigs again in the near future. Keep safe and best wishes, Rob Deacon . See more
