25.01.2022 Two fantastic results for our teams on Saturday against Hahndorf Soccer Club! The A team smashed the bottom side 10-0 while the B team played out a thriller, snatching victory in the last minute with a 5-4 win. Read about both games below!

25.01.2022 Two massive matches coming up for us tomorrow!! The A Team are playing St Peter's Old Collegians Soccer Club at home with kick off at 3pm. The reserve clash between Southern Breakers and Sturt Marion will act as the curtain raiser to our game, kicking off at 1pm at our ground. We will have the BBQ and bar available - EFTPOS available too!... Don't forget for those of you who fancy a drive to Grange, the B Team will be taking on USC Lion Soccer Club at Grange Sporting Complex with kick off at 1pm. Come along and show your support! 24.01.2022 On Friday 6 November at 6:30pm we will be starting our Summer Kickabout every Friday night. Come down to the Club and have a game. Our new coach, Trevor Payne, will also be there to start meeting everyone in preparation for pre-season training early in 2021.... We will just pick a couple of teams on the night for whoever is there, get the goals up and have a friendly game to keep the legs ticking over in the off-season. If any of your mates are interested in coming down to South Coast United next season, this is a great opportunity for them to come down and meet everyone too! After the game the bar will be open for those who fancy staying for a drink. See you there!

23.01.2022 The first night of pre-season training starts tomorrow night! We are expecting a warm one, so please make sure you bring your own water (and plenty of it!). We would like to remind you not to share your water bottles with other players either.... We are also expecting the showers to be out of action with the facility upgrades currently taking place at the club. Due to the pitch being unavailable there will be no game played afterwards, but this meeting is going to be a great insight for all of our members, players, supporters and life members into how we went as a club this year, as well as plans for the future. The committee are excited to announce that our 2020 end of season celebration will be held in Melrose, set in the backdrop of the magnificent Flinders Ranges!... When: Friday 20 November - Sunday 22 November 2020 Where: Under the Mount, Melrose - Check it out here: https://fal.cn/39Ur8 Who: Sorry ladies, this one is a chance for the boys to get away and spend some time bonding together! Price: $ 72 per person for a shared bunk cabin for 5 or $110 per person for a twin cabin for 2. There are 2 x 5 bunk cabins and 6 x 2 person cabins available to this is definitely first in best dressed. Our days will be spent hiking, mountain biking or simply relaxing amongst some of South Australia's best scenery! There are BBQ facilities on site and we will have a bonfire by night! This is a chance for us to spend some quality time together as club mates and celebrate a fantastic season together! BE QUICK - SPACES ARE LIMITED SO DON'T WAIT!! We have partnered with Ultra Football as our official kit and apparel supplier and have some exciting announcements coming regarding a new range of supporter wear, which will be made available to you through our online club shop! 21.01.2022 Due to the latest SA Government COVID-19 restrictions being imposed as of this evening, the Friday night kickaround is suspended until the restrictions are lifted. 16.01.2022 ** 2021 Pre-Season Training ** We are excited to announce that pre-season for the 2021 season is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 12 January at 6:30pm. All current and new players are welcome as we prepare to build on the fantastic progress we have made this year.... The Hackham Sports & Community Club is currently having some work done to it, including the build of new changerooms as well as pitch irrigation. The SCUSC Committee is working with the complex, SAASL and the Hackham Hawks Football Club to ensure disruption to the two clubs is kept to a minimum with both playing on Saturdays. Due to the uncertainty regarding government restrictions and the work happening at the complex, we have made the decision to cancel the Friday kickarounds for the remainder of this year. More updates will be coming soon regarding fees for the season and some other exciting things the committee has been working on. We look forward to seeing you all on the 12th of January!

14.01.2022 This is what we have all been working for this year. At the start of this year we didn't know if we would have a team, let alone a club at all. A massive thank you to each and every one of you who contributed to our club this season, whether as a player, coach, committee member or supporter. Starting a new club, picking out a kit, hiring a pitch and fielding a team is easy. But bringing a great club back into the light after spending a few years in darkness, winning the... league and building an amazing culture takes time and effort - and we did it all in one season!! This is why we are South Coast United.

13.01.2022 We cannot wait for tomorrow! 1st vs 2nd. The two best teams in the division will battle it out, and we head into this one very confident that our players can bring the title home! Last time we met Southern Breakers the game ended in a 2-2 draw, but this time a draw or a win will be enough to secure the league title for us - our first in four years!... Come down and support the players. Bring the kids - we will have a bouncy castle to keep them occupied while you enjoy the matches. A pig and lamb spit in a crusty roll with gravy for $5? 12.01.2022 ** VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ** There is another match being played at 1pm before our A team game this Saturday between Southern Breakers and Sturt Marion Reserves. This will be played at our ground due to the number of referees required for the games this weekend. As a result, we need some extra volunteers to put a hand up and help us this Saturday. We will need bar and BBQ staff as well as people to be there to set the goals up and other various jobs.... The committee have been stretched very thin this weekend due to the B team playing away at Grange so we really need some help from you! If you can spare an hour on Saturday we would be so grateful. We could bore you with t...he usual corporate nonsense of "Dave loves working with blah blah blah to create blah blah blah so call him today to see how he can help you" but we won't. Instead, here are some cool things you should know about Dave...... He loves tea. In particular, Yorkshire Gold, for which he is known to drink upwards of 8 cups a day (black, with no sugar in case you were wondering). He is the Vice President of South Coast United Soccer Club, where he is a Life Member and player. He is an avid reader of sports and music autobiographies. Two of his faves? Open by Andre Agassi and The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band - The Motley Crue Autobiography. He loves a good pizza, but if it's on the menu a chicken schnitzel with chips and gravy (on the side) always wins out! He is known to wash either of them down with a pint of ice cold beer! He has travelled all over the world, but his all time favourite holiday spot is New York, a city he has visited 7 times. He was born in Slough, England. A town that was made famous in Ricky Gervais' "The Office".

10.01.2022 Say hello to Solly! This young guy is a really promising player at our club and one of the nicest lads you'll meet. He makes us all feel old by describing his best footballing moment as "scoring a volley from the edge of the box at school soccer!" but anyone that has seen him play can see his major asset is his pace - the boy can run!... Solly's favourite clubs are Manchester City and Atlético de Madrid with his favourite players being de Bruyne, Aguero, Greizmann and Oblak. Full of enthusiasm and a great ability to listen to instructions given to him, Solly gives 100% every week and we love having him as part of our South Coast family!

09.01.2022 Off to the Finals we go!! We have been handed an interesting draw for the first round of the President's Cup Finals Series this Saturday. The B Team will travel to Grange to take on USC Lion Soccer Club who finished 2nd in their group with a record of 4 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws from 10 matches. Kick off is at 1pm at the Grange Sporting Complex.... The A Team will play host to St Peter's Old Collegians Soccer Club who also finished 2nd in their group with a record of 7 wins and 3 draws from 10 matches. Kick off is at 3pm at Hackham Oval. For those of you wanting to come and watch our A Team this weekend, we will have bar and BBQ facilities available with EFTPOS. Both teams are very excited to kick their Finals campaigns off this weekend and we look forward to seeing plenty of support out there for our players! Up the Coast!!

07.01.2022 Yesterday we held our 2020 Annual General Meeting. The attendance was excellent, with a mixture of past and present players, as well as coaching staff, supporters and Life Members. It was a fantastic opportunity to review the Club's position in 2020 and discuss opportunities moving forward. ... A number of sponsors have already been secured for 2021, and with coaching staff and the committee now in place we are in an excellent position heading into the new season. Yesterday three new Life Members were nominated and inducted. Congratulations to Aaron Brown, Rik Cooper and Nikki Cooper who were recognised for their outstanding service to our Club. The three of these new Life Members are pictured receiving their badges from our longest serving Club Life Member, Andy Wade. Furthermore, the level of interest in joining our committee was outstanding. During the meeting, our 2021 SCUSC committee was nominated and voted on. Your 2021 Club Committee will be: Executive Committee Members; Club President - Rik Cooper Club Vice President - David Hammett Secretary - Alex Hammett Treasurer - Cindy Jewson General Commitee Members; Nathan Smith, Steve Smith, Andy Wade, Brenton Roberts, Jamie Bowes, Michael Bushell and Kate Hammett. 02.01.2022 CHAMPIONS!!! It is an AMAZING feeling to be the Bill Bailey Shield Saturday 4th Division (South/East Zone) league champions! A fantastic day was had by all, with over 150 supporters present to witness our A team win the title against Southern Breakers. The BBQ and bar saw record sales, the marquee and pitch looked beautiful in the glorious sunshine and it was inspiring to see such a sea of Blue and White on the sideline.... For the committee, this season has been about rebuilding and redemption. The players showed great pride, commitment and respect for the club throughout this season and no matter what happens in the finals series, 2020 goes down as one of the best seasons in the club's 38 year history. Congratulations to Paul Aplin and the A team players this year for their remarkable achievement. Congratulations and respect must also be paid to Paul McCreery and his B team who ended the season in the runners up position. To have both sides at the top end of the division is simply outstanding.
