15.05.2022 Photos from last week's #CamdenCultureClub in partnership with Camden Council With the support of NSW Government’s The Festival of Place Summer Fund Program and Camden Council, Alan Baker Art Gallery will be opening from 6pm to 9pm every Friday from 18 March to 8 April for Camden Culture Club, where Camden’s Cultural Precinct will be alive with live public art, makers’ markets, musical performances, and culinary temptations. Developed in collaboration with Alan Baker Art ...Gallery and Camden Museum, a curated display of story-telling projections that showcase Camden’s ancestry, diverse culture, people and places will reflect through the windows of the late 19th-century heritage townhouse, Macaria. In celebration of Multicultural March, and with the support of the Cohesive Communities Advisory Group, multicultural themes will be explored each Friday through art demonstrations, traditional cultural performances, and a selection of international cuisines. This event is free to the public. The first 40 ticketholders will receive a tasting box of Italian cuisine from The Italian Food Project, and a drink and dessert from The House of Art. 14.01.2022 Change begins and ends with you! Design is everywhere it's in the device you're using to read this post, it's in the font of this text, it's even in the coffee you're having this morning. Design can be subtle, or it can be LOUD. The world of design is enormous and is incorporated into our every day life. What we love about design is how we experience it. It can be something we see, something we hear, or something we feel.... As designers, we have the vision and ability to implement the change we want to see in the world. When we think about change, we naturally think of the battle between what is right or wrong, or what is good and what is bad. But the truth is, it's much more complex than that. Why?... Because of you. Design is and always has been about people. And you, as a person, business, or brand have unique and complex thoughts, emotions, taste, behaviour, beliefs, etc. At the end of the day, you decide if we succeed or fail regardless of the whether the design has fulfilled its purpose. We may experience things differently, but we all share the same vision for a better tomorrow. So, to see change in the world, we need to see change in ourselves first. #designtheworld
