25.01.2022 Today we had the privilege of walking on the newly concreted Breakwater Wharf Extension!! (Thanks Glenn!) The project is progressing well and still on track for early 2019 completion. Plans are coming along and we can’t wait to see the first cruise ship alongside soon!

16.01.2022 Did you know that SECC were one of the main contractors that contributed to the construction of the new Eden Breakwater Wharf extension? In advance of the official opening this weekend, we’d like to let you know of our contribution to the project. At the very beginning we were responsible for unloading and transporting up to 51m long piles that were shipped from China. We then commenced construction of 240 pre-cast deck planks and 21 headstocks, with many of these fabricate...d off site and then transported to the wharf for install onto the piles. Following this our crew spent many months working over the water, including forming, placing steel and pouring concrete decks that the public now walk on today. We are very proud of the efforts our team contributed to this project over the past year and feel honoured to be such a huge part of what is a significant piece of infrastructure for our local community. We'd like to thank AMS Stevedoring and Superain Cranes for their assistance with the offload of the piles, McKay Concreting for assisting with the large deck pours and of course all the team at SECC for your hard work and dedication!

09.01.2022 As much as we would have liked to have seen the deceased whale towed out to sea and let nature take its course, we also understand the lengthy potential dangers to migrating whales, their calves and swimmers by doing so, as advised by NSW and Commonwealth governments. This week we helped achieve the safest option, and nature will now take its course at BVSC FOGO waste facility.
