03.01.2022 Dagmar has worked at SECASA as a counsellor/advocate since 2003. Dagmar is a social worker who has coordinated the Making Rights Reality Program since 2011, and also works as Clinical Lead for the East Bentleigh and St Kilda sites. The Making Rights Reality Program at SECASA aims to ensure victim/survivors with disabilities are able to access counselling, the criminal justice system, and the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal on an equal basis, and works towards reducing... barriers faced by people with disabilities, particularly those with cognitive disabilities or communication support needs, in their recovery after sexual assault or family violence. Dagmar has this to say about working at SECASA: "It has been enormously rewarding to contribute towards increasing the accessibility of our service, and to resource other counsellor/advocates in development of their practice. It is an absolute privilege to be able to provide the service we do at SECASA, and to play a part in people's recovery from experiences of sexual or family violence."
