25.01.2022 Halloween is coming up again and SA.GOV.AU has advised that Halloween and trick-or-treating is permitted and can be done in a COVID-safe way. There are some important things to remember: Do not go trick-or-treating if unwell... Maintain 1.5 metres distance from other groups Take hand sanitiser and sanitise hands regularly Only give out or take wrapped lollies or snacks. Please remind your kids that they are not to visit any houses without an orange balloon. If kids do not comply then the community will not want this to continue. Any interference to property will not be tolerated and community members have a right to report to police. As Halloween falls on a Saturday this year we thought it would be a good idea to limit trick or treaters to a time frame from 3pm-6pm Balloons will be available at Slips on Friday/Saturday to put up at your house if you would like trick or treaters to visit.

07.01.2022 It is NAIDOC week and we are flying the Aboriginal flag from 8th to 15th Nov except for Remembrance Day on Wed. Did you know that the Boandiks were divided int...o 2 groups ? - the Kumites and the Krokes. According to Christina Smith’s writing, a Kumite man must always take a Kroke wife and vice versa. The Kumites had 5 totems - fishhawk, pelican, crow, black cockatoo and innoxious snake. The Krotes had 4 totems - owl, tea tree scrub, edible root and white crestless cockatoo. They looked after their totems and didn’t eat them unless staving - then they expressed sorry before eating it. See more
07.01.2022 All are invited to the Remembrance Day ceremony on Wed 11th Nov.
