24.01.2022 Breast lift and classic abdominoplasty in a young lady who had a massive weight loss and multiple previous abdominal operations. It is incredibly rewarding to help women feel beautiful and confident. It is especially rewarding to know that this courageous lady has a lifetime ahead of her with the youthful body she deserves. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #breastlift #tummytuck
24.01.2022 Abdominoplasty surgery removes the loose skin caused by childbirth, gravity and weight loss. This fit and vibrant patient now has the tummy to match her lifestyle. Ugly appendicectomy scar gone umbilical reshaping six pack definition waist definition . #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #tummytuck #abdominoplasty
23.01.2022 Precision, beauty, quality- what a specialist plastic surgeon aims for. I rewatched the sensational documentary 7 days out- Chanel on Netflix last night. The intense dedication of the ateliers to detail was inspiring. Seeing any professional take their tasks to the utmost standard of excellence is inspiring. I will be Chanel-ling (ha!) their great skill this week into my cases. #dramirasanki #couture #femaleplasticsurgeon #plasticsurgery
23.01.2022 Planning. This quote comes from one of the Grandfathers of Sydney Plastic Surgery who aimed to teach his registrars the importance of performing any operation in your mind before you perform it on the patient. A good surgeon considers the risks, benefit and alternatives of a procedure for each patient. A good surgeon will pause and think and consider how they will do their operation the night before surgery. There are no short cuts. #knowthedifference #asapsau #dramirasanki #plasticsurgery
22.01.2022 A very special piece of paper that took over a decade to attain. It has been hanging on this wall for nearly a decade. The ONLY piece of paper recognised by the Medical Board of Australia to qualify someone as legally capable of performing plastic or cosmetic surgery is this Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. That’s it. Very simple. Don’t look for anything else on your surgeon’s wall. Thank you @drnataliengan_plasticsurgeon for posting your diploma. Now I challenge my other plastic surgery buddies to do the same. #dramirasanki #plasticsurgery #knowthedifference @asapsau @plasticsocietyaustralia
22.01.2022 Yes, all breast reductions include a lift as well to make the breasts look prettier, smaller and more proportional. #dramirasanki #breastreduction #femaleplasticsurgeon #plasticsurgery
22.01.2022 To our Wonderful Patients, for your safety and ours, please be careful in this coming week. If possible, present to our rooms unaccompanied and call us to swap to a Tele consult if you are unwell or have been to a hotspot in the past two weeks. We can beat this and cannot wait for the sunny, happy times ahead!
21.01.2022 What an honour and a pleasure it was to help this patient achieve the body she deserves after losing over 50 kilograms. This patient had a right periareolar mastopexy, bilateral breast augmentation and an extended tummy tuck with close to 3kg of skin and fat removed. A beautiful result. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #bodycontouring #massiveweightloss
17.01.2022 Let us keep you youthful! Don’t forget to purchase your skin care products between Monday and Wednesday this week before we close the rooms until January 11. Our injectables nurse, Shanne Taylor, has been seriously booked up lately so call in the next few days if you are predicting you will need a top up in early 2021. #shannetaylor #injectables #neurotoxin #filler
17.01.2022 A post that current patients and other surgeons will most appreciate. When can a drain come out? I recommend a drain can be removed once it is rosé or chardonnay in colour and when there is less than 30ml of drainage per day. I only use drains in tummy tuck and breast reduction patients. Drains allow us to remove the blood and fluid that would otherwise collect under the skin and cause bruises, swelling, seromas and pain. The amount of drainage tends to correlate with the kilograms of skin & fat removed. Drains are also a convenient window into what is going on under the skin. Fortunately, I have never seen a patient with aged Sangiovese or Pedro Ximinez drainage! #dramirasanki #drains #plasticsurgery #plasticsurgerysydney
16.01.2022 Most plastic surgeons are scientists who love art. We all have a natural aesthetic that we hover towards. One of the great things about social media is that patients can shop through surgeons’ before and afters to seek out a doctor who has a similar aesthetic to their own. I also like that patients get a feeling for who I am on my insta. So here are some photos of me enjoying art: in front of the Fibonacci sequence @artgalleryofnsw , the flowers at the 2019 Spring display @davidjonesstore and lastly, with Hans Christian Andersen @centralparknyc. #dramirasanki #artofplasticsurgery #femaleplasticsurgeon #plasticsurgery
15.01.2022 The plastic surgery journey properly starts during a consultation. This is the important process of explaining your concerns to our surgeons and formulating a safe & rewarding surgical plan. It also gives the patient AND the surgeon an opportunity to get to know each other. The best way to get the most out of your first consultation is to come prepared and on a day when you are not rushed. Find someone to babysit the kids, tell work you’re uncontactable, read up on our website and make sure you go to your GP well before the appointment day to grab a referral. Then relax and enjoy! #dramirasanki #driliaskotronakis #southernaesthetic #plasticsurgery
14.01.2022 What a team! The most important priority of our team is to support and care for you at every step of your journey. I could not be more proud of my girls when a patient comes into the office bearing gifts and thanks to them. Bec, Gab, Laura, Katelyn, Sally and Shanne are beautiful inside and out. !! #southernaesthetic #noiinteam #plasticsurgery #plasticsurgerysydney #tummytuck #breastreductiom #bodycontouring #allfemaleteam #womenforwomen
14.01.2022 Honestly didn’t realise Ilias was filming as I opened up my mail and found my brand new spatulated tip neck liposuction cannula. I have been looking for the perfect neck cannula for years, and finally got it made specifically to my dimensions. Cannot wait to use it on my Tuesday patients!! #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #liposuction #necklift #facelift
14.01.2022 Woop! Woop! Thank you to MP Fiona Martin for presenting the petition to bring back the Medicare item number for abdominoplasty surgery. Surgery which has clinical evidence to support its improvement in back pain, core strength and urinary incontinence related to divarication recti.
12.01.2022 Grabbing a coffee from Mary at Hudson’s is a regular highlight of my days @hurstvilleprivatehospital, but I also love that everyone working in this hospital strives to give our patients the best possible experience. I love my Tuesday theatre lists with my brilliant team and I love ward rounding with the dedicated nurses on Level 3. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #piccolo #plasticsurgeonsydney
11.01.2022 What a brilliant effort everyone put in to get our government to reinstate the tummy tuck item number! I have never seen a post shared and responded to so enthusiastically. I can only conclude that my patients and my audience are intelligent, empathetic, proactive and show initiative. #dramirasanki #southernaesthetic #bringback30177 #tummytuck

10.01.2022 Part II of my Zoo posts. A fascinating fact: Meerkats are matriarchal. This is a good and a bad thing. The good part is that clearly they are extremely intelligent and well organised (think Premier Gladys and Prime Minister Jacinda). The bad is that the pregnant alpha female kicks out the beta females from the gang. Not cool. In the words of Helen Reddy, I am woman, hear me roar., but sometimes you should wisely pick who you roar at. Stay strong but stay cool my friends. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #becoolnotcruel #lovemeerkats #loveschoolholidays #loveTaronga
08.01.2022 Beautiful, petite, confident, gorgeous, feminine. A lovely young woman with a new, youthful size and shape. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #plasticsurgery #beforeandafter
08.01.2022 Removal of hardened breast implants and a breast lift. What felt right for you twenty years ago might not suit your figure and lifestyle now. Choosing to have breast implants is empowering, but so is the decision to know when you don’t think they suit you anymore. #dramirasanki #plasticsurgery #beforeandafter #breastaugmentation
08.01.2022 Aesthetic Breast Course 2 will be a definite highlight of the year for me. Catching up with local and international plastic surgeons (our work family), learning pitfalls and pearls of surgery and learning the latest update on long term research on breast implants. I thank @drmarkmagnusson for preparing the spectacular program for our first virtual conference and for asking me to talk on the Science of Fat Grafting. Every operation in a specialist plastic surgeon’s armamentarium has been validated by science and research. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #neverstoplearning #lovemyplasticfamily
07.01.2022 We had a simply perfect day at the zoo yesterday, and as always, it was hard not to see surgical analogies in the beautiful creatures around me. Most funny was the brush turkey. Interestingly, male turkeys have a long, yellow collar while females don’t. If only this was the case for humans too! So yes, I do enjoy necklift surgery. You just don’t see any on my Instagram as my patients are understandably shy to show their full face on social media. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #necklift #turkeygobbler
06.01.2022 Face and neck lift surgery involves two important processes to achieve a properly balanced youthful profile: tightening of the SMAS (muscle layer) of the face followed by skin rotation and removal. The SMAS supports the fat of our face, so lifting the SMAS also brings up the cheek and jowl. Woop woop! So happy for this attractive lady to get her beautiful contours back. #dramirasanki #femaleplasticsurgeon #plasticsurgery #facelift #necklift #facialplasticsurgeon #facialrejuvenation #beforeandafter
05.01.2022 It angers me GREATLY that if a footballer injures a muscle on the field, the tax payer will pay to have this muscle repaired BUT if a woman has irreversible rectus abdominus damage giving birth to children, we call the muscle repair a cosmetic operation. Click on the linktree in our bio to go to the @asapsau website blog that explains abdominoplasty and links to the petition. Help women get rid of back pain, muscle weakness and urinary incontinence by appealing to Medicare to bring the item number back. Click this link to go to the ASAPS blog about the medical benefits of abdominoplasty and the link to the petition to bring the Medicare item number back. https://aestheticplasticsurgeons.org.au//benefits-of-post/
03.01.2022 Yes and No. Did you know that it is illegal for an Australian doctor to post testimonials on their website and social media? Did you know that a lot of doctors illegally offer incentives for patients to post positive reviews? But reviews can offer useful inform about the surgeon, the practice and the procedure. Tricky stuff! Want to be more confused? Most independent surgery review and blog sites rent space on their sites to surgeons. Read our explanation of reviews and testimonials here, https://southernaesthetic.com.au/our-/reviews-testimonials/ #dramirasanki #drsankireviews
02.01.2022 Is there anything more satisfying than helping a young woman feel beautiful? #breastreduction #breastlift #dramirasanki #southernaesthetic
01.01.2022 Apparently I am a specialist plastic surgeon AND a lovely, Sicilian Pinot noir. #education #todayslesson #dramirasanki
