24.01.2022 Another year....another farewell Today Districts said 'see ya later' to 2 absolute legends! Shane & Sinéad arrived in Perth, May 2016, were quickly adopted and settled well into the Districts family. They did the club proud both on and off the pitch with lots of memories and achievements gathered over their 4 years, we can't all help feeling a little selfish and wanting to keep them for longer. But Districts loss is Tyrone/Greencastle/kildress' gain the transfer... papers may get lost we wish them all the best in the next chapter, very exciting times ahead ... Districts on tour for 2022 A huge thank you for all you did for the Districts club, family and friends! The Doyle's will be a huge miss on the pitch AND in the social scene!! Safe travels! 15.01.2022 Highs and lows from the games at Tom Bateman yesterday! The girls battled hard to The end with a heartbreaking 1 point loss in the league final against finbarrs. They came flying back in the 2nd half from 5 points down even with disallowed goals and a few hard hits but unfortunately the whistle came too late and Finbarrs found the back of the net with seconds to go.. Very unlucky girls and no doubt you'll be back stronger than ever with your eyes on the championship now ... And the high...a unreal performance from our men, beating finbarrs 6:22 to 3:6 which has left them in the league final next weekend against Greenwood .. 04.01.2022 HAPPY FRIYAY Another week done which only means match day Saturdays tomorrow Join us at Tom Bateman Reserve tomorrow from 5:30pm, as the girls take on Finbarrs in the league final. Hopefully the first bit of silverware for the girls and the club. Good luck to Mark, Robyn and the girls ... And then straight after the boys continue their league campaign against Finbarrs at 7:15pm. All support welcome

01.01.2022 Another disappointing end to a league final for the Districts, with the men losing out by 1 point in injury time. Securing 3 goals the men were ahead throughout until the final 5 mins when Greenwood knocked over a few points to make it evens. As the supporters awaited the whistle to introduce extra time, it wasn't to be as the clock ticked on and Greenwood got the point that put them ahead for the first time and the whistle blew Another heartbreaking end but just like th...e girls the men will dust themselves off and it'll be all systems go for the Semis Finals of Championship next Saturday #districtsabú #wearenotfckingleaving Note: amateur photographs

01.01.2022 Where to start, it just wasn't our day! A lot of broken Districts out there after the war was lost. From the beginning of 2020 the 2 teams came out strong, getting stuck into training before having to change it up during lockdown, whether it was training in 2s, completing 5ks, gym sessions etc. Once the season finally started they were still raring to go, hungry for that end goal. The league was a rollercoaster with both teams having some loses but some unforgettable wins t...rainings were intense, players worked hard outside of training too, keeping each other going, dedication & commitment where at an all time high Then both teams came 2nd in the league tables to secure their spots in the league finals but both teams lost out by 1 point when the clock ran over! Again, they gathered themselves up, regrouped at training and got ready for the Semi Finals of Championship. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Some solid performances on both teams, battling hard, but not being able to get across the line. Well done to all players and management involved. Tough pill to swallow but no doubt come 2021 the District family will be back with a vengeance For now, it's off season, and everybody deserves a solid effort in summer fun, no doubt a few drinks will be had Thanks for all the support throughtout the season, from partners to children, family& friends!! & To the District committee group and all those who do work behind the scenes A club?
