23.01.2022 After a great term of hot shots matchplay, awards for the term were handed out to the children. The enthusiasm and enjoyment shown by all of the kids that come to play always brings a smile to everyone, and a congratulations goes out to all of the players for getting back onto the courts and learning the art of tennis matchplay! Award winners for this term are: Green Ball... Winner: Kaelan McGovern Runner Up: Klara Grbavac Most Improved: Krishna Panth Orange Ball Winner: Olivia Hughes Runner Up: Jacob Meredith Most Improved: Zara Green Kind reminder to everyone that next Saturday 26th there is one more week of matchplay before the school holidays. I would also like to thank and congratulate Rod Weekley who has does a super job of organising and managing the hot shots activities each week. A job very well done! For anyone interested in getting involved for next term you are very welcome to come down this coming Saturday and see why the kids are all having such a good time. Play starts at 8:30am

15.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Closure of Wests Tennis Courts - Suspension of Tennis Macarthur Competitions Dear Members Following advice from NSW Health that two patrons who recently visited Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club have tested positive to COVID-19, Wests Group has decided to close all its Clubs including the tennis courts at Leumeah for at least the next 7 days while tests and deep cleans are undertaken. A copy of Wests Media Release follows explaining the decision which has been ...made in the best interests of us all. It follows that effective immediately Tennis Macarthur is suspending all its sanctioned competitions in keeping with the Wests decisions for at least the next 7 days and will remain so until it is determined safe to resume and NSW Health Advice is followed. The objective being to ensure our community remains healthy, and the significant risk of the virus spreading is minimised. Inter District Competition At this stage the Inter District Competition is going ahead, with the start date of all cups scheduled to commence on 26 July 2020, albeit should the Wests tennis courts remain closed alternative arrangements will be implemented. We will keep players involved informed as we get closer to the Competition start date. We will be in touch when we have more information to share including with arrangements for resuming tennis. 11.01.2022 With a long break due to COVID-19 we finally reached the finals of our Tuesday Night Men's Doubles. Last night it was the finals for Divisions 1 & 2 and the semi-finals for Division 3. Congratulations to the winners and runners up. Next Tuesday Night is the finals for Division 3 and social tennis for everyone else. Then we are on to the A, B & C Grade club Championships on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Check our website for details and don't forget to enter our Spring Doubles Nightcomps starting soon.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to The Benchwarmers who got up over Born to Serve in the Division 3 final of the Men's Doubles Nightcomp on Tuesday night. Tonight we start the first event in our 2020 Club Championships. The A, B & C Grade Mixed Doubles.

05.01.2022 With spring just around the corner it was finals night yesterday for our Winter Mixed Nightcomp. Some really good tennis played. Divisions 1 & 4 were both decided on a games countback (at 11:30pm for div 4). Congratulations to the winners and runners up. 03.01.2022 Inter District 2020 - Week 1 & 2 After a two week delay, the NSW Hardcourt Inter District Competition commenced on the 9th August only for the majority of matches to be washed out. Fortunately, Week 2 saw clear blue skies & lots of tennis played. The wind certainly tested some players yesterday. Tennis Macarthur had 4 wins & 4 losses. Well done to our Blackwell Cup 1 team who had a 9-0 victory. ... Additionally, both our Senior Men teams had a win. Congratulations also to our McAndrew Cup 2 team, who are playing Inter District for the first time, for their great effort in coming out winners on the day in a close match. See more
