25.01.2022 Happy Birthday Suzy!! Always smiling - have a fabulous day & try not to work tooo hard

21.01.2022 It is imperative staff, clients and volunteers notify the office Immediately if they have visited or been in contact with anyone who has visited any of the locations within this NSW Health update.

12.01.2022 Belated, but huge thank you to Wayne, Paul & the guys from Tweed Bait Ulladulla for the generous donation of a chest freezer to assist with our additional meal storage during the COVID-19 pandemic. Wayne could not have been more helpful and we were SO very grateful at a time when freezers could NOT be purchased, to have such obliging people assisting our service and the elders of our community.

09.01.2022 A big thank you to BP Australia for honouring volunteers by kindly donating gift vouchers via Meals on Wheels Australia. Alison was our first recipient on National Meals on Wheels day last Wednesday.

07.01.2022 Meals on Wheels Southern Shoalhaven have developed a Covid-19 Safety Plan to help in maintaining a safe environment for all clients, volunteers, staff and visitors. Once we are given clearance to open our doors we will ask for everyone to be vigilant of 1.5m distancing and follow strict hygienic practices, as relayed by staff and volunteers. Our service has always endeavoured to introduce "contactless" payments for health & safety reasons, and on return this practice will ...be mandatory for ALL clients. A credit card facility will be introduces for the small number of social group clients who do not wish to use Direct Debit. NO cash will be accepted. As we move towards a COVIDSafe Australia, it is important for people at greater risk of serious illness to take extra steps to protect themselves and NOT to become COMPLACENT!!! New protocols for meal deliveries including wearing masks for entering homes, is now our best practice. A couple of our hard working delivery men donned their masks, kindly donated by volunteers of Meals on Wheels NSW, after loading up for deliveries. See more
