24.01.2022 We have finally had a conclusion to the 2019-20 STEBA Division 1 Season with the Grand Final last night (25th Sept) at the Hobart Workers Club. The Claremont RSL Scorpions def the HWC Thunder 17-15 in a great & close Grand Final. The winner of the "Gary Self MVP" was the RSL Capt Rob McCauley.... The STEBA season concludes with the Div 2 Grand Final on Wednesday night with the Granada Barracuda's playing the RSL Devils and on Thursday night Div 3 will see the HWC Maroons play the HWC Last Min8. Come along and support all the teams playing, our major sponsor the Hobart Workers Club & have a meal from Rosie's Kitchen.

24.01.2022 The HWC Thursday Night Calcutta resumes every Thursday night from the 14th January. Same format as previously with players handicapped and a race to 15. Starts at 7.00pm and entry fee is $10.00.

21.01.2022 It is with profound sadness that we advise all our players & friends of the passing of a true gentleman Terry "TC" Collins. Terry will be sadly missed by everyone. Terry passed away peacefully this morning. When the funeral notice becomes available we will post the details on here. Condolences to his family. R.I.P. Terry Collins.

21.01.2022 2020 STATE JUNIOR SINGLES CANCELLATION. Hi Everyone, due to the lack of entries in some of the age groups it has been decided that the 2020 Tasmanian Junior Sin...gles Championships scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled. Although this will be very disappointing for some, sadly without adequate entry numbers it is, in our opinion not worth playing the events. The 2021 State Singles & Team Selection Trials will be held in February as has been advertised. Entering is... to be done ONLINE ONLY on our website, as is payment of your entry fee, the bank details are on the poster. 16.01.2022 Just a small clarification to date: By now I would think most people know of the Premiers latest press release this afternoon and the lifting of 8Ball for venu...es. Please Note 8Ball in venues is not fully finalised as yet and the final requirements / restrictions will not be known until Friday 28/08. While competition 8ball is not formally mentioned As the governing body for our eight member associations and players, we hope we are included in this return to a sport. Lets see what the next week brings and where we are all at, but what great news on the horizon this is. Once we get the GREEN LIGHT to start competition WE will forward this to all Associations

15.01.2022 Now that we are able to resume competition (with restrictions observed) the STEBA will finish the season by playing finals using the ladder positions when the season stopped. The new Summer 2020-21 roster is hoped to start on October 13th. Here are the Finals which will start on Tuesday 15th Sept. ... To help with "social distancing" it has been decided to play each Division on a separate night.

13.01.2022 The response has been overwhelming and we have a full field and a complete list of emergencies. We now require deposits ($75.00) minimum paid by the 5th January... & balance paid by 26th January 2021. We are sorry about it being due over Christmas but we need to ensure if anyone has changed their mind, we give the emergencies enough time to get themselves organized. If COVID-19 restrictions restrict travel all deposits will be refunded to those affected, other than that these are non refundable deposits. 10.01.2022 The 2019-20 STEBA season has come to an end after last nights Div 3 Grand Final. Congratulations to the HWC Maroons who defeated the HWC Last Min8 in a great final. The Maroons have been trying to win a premiership for many years and finally cracked it, the Gary Self MVP was Simon Voigt.

06.01.2022 With the State Govt & Health Dept allowing all 8 Ball including "Competition" 8 ball to be played we have tonight sent all Eightball Tasmania's Affiliated Assoc...iations our approved 'Guidelines for the Return to Competition 8 Ball'. These guidelines/documents were approved by Tasmanian Sport and Recreation and also form part of Sport Australia (Return to Sport). Without these approvals we would be unable to play 'Competition Sport' and have the approval to play. See more

06.01.2022 Eightball Tasmania is pleased to inform Associations that it is no longer a requirement that during OFFICIAL ROSTER MATCHES & CHAMPIONSHIPS that we are no longe...r required the wipe down the tables after ever frame. The tables now should be wiped down PRIOR TO STARTING at the CONCLUSION OF THE MATCHES. While all the other restrictions remain in place such as hand sanitizing, social distancing, no high fives etc, so please abide by these and this will help to keep everyone safe. This ONLY applies to our organized roster matches and championships. Venues & Venue Operators are still responsible to follow the COVID-19 regulations under their COVID-19 safety plan in regard to "Social 8 Ball".

05.01.2022 The Australian EightBall Federation held their AGM on Saturday. A new board was voted in. See the letter below... At this meeting the States & Territories voted to CANCEL the 2020 Senior Nationals and play the 2021 Nationals in Albury to fulfill the current sponsorship agreement. The 2021 Junior Nationals were also postponed to a date later in 2021, that date will be decided next year when more information is available.

05.01.2022 It is back in 2021 - the HWC Old Dogs Masters Calcutta. New date is the weekend after Easter in April, lets hope we have no issue's with COVID, we look forward to seeing you all in Hobart April 2021.

05.01.2022 The STEBA 2019-20 Division 2 Grand Final has been won by the Granada Barracuda's defeating the Claremont RSL Devils 13 - 08. Mario Pangrazzi won the Gary Self MVP Medal. Tomorrow night will see the conclusion of the longest season ever in the STEBA with the Div 3 Grand Final between the HWC Maroons & HWC Last Min8.
