19.01.2022 Reminiscing about this stunning batch of Murdoc sugarloaf cabbage from the inimitable @heirloomtony. Probably the sweetest cabbage we’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious to eat raw and fresh. What we didn’t eat was processed and is still fermenting. We’ve got high hopes for this batch!

09.01.2022 Dear algorithm, Today we jarred up a tiny batch of Adzuki Bean Miso we started in March of 2018. It’s heading to the homes of our beloved members tomorrow.... The certified organic beans were sourced from Kindred Organics in the northwest of our island home. It took an eternity to convince them to sell to us. It’s amazing. Such umami. Ditch your daily vegemite dose and replace it with something taster and much better for you. Love.

05.01.2022 New things in hope of spring. This is a young chestnut miso we jarred up this week. The chestnuts came from @sevenspringsfarmtasmania and we’re hand peeled by yours truly. It has a very mild and subtle flavour and would make for a wonderful companion to dressings and creamy sauces we think. Having said that it’s just magnificent on its own in a cup of hot water. Last night we added some to some sweet @heirloomtony sugarloaf cabbage we cooked down and it was ! Most definitely a labour of love this one, and stocks are in short supply.
