22.01.2022 Are you planning on climbing in the Grampians? Please DO NOT CLIMB in Grampians SPA areas. Access negotiations are in an extremely delicate state right now and ...the public image of climbers is in full view and under the microscope. I've heard numerous reports of people at these areas in the last few weeks including high profile climbers. Bans apply to Hollow Mountain Cave, Amnesty Wall, Andersens, Summerday Valley, Loopeys, Kindergarten and almost all of the Victoria Range. These areas contain 70% of the bouldering and 50% of the sport climbing in the park. If you continue climbing here you are affecting the ability for us to legally climb here in the future. Ignorance is no excuse. Saying they are not policing it is no excuse. Saying they are not fining us is no excuse. Saying there are signs saying it's ok in the carpark is no excuse. Stop it please. So many good people are working on overturning these bans night and day and you are harming it for everyone. Refer to this list for ALL the SPA areas. See more
