24.01.2022 MAY THE 4th WAS WITH US What can I say about Star Wars Friday? Our 13th Southern Calamari Charter aboard the green machine with Scotty Lyons was looking like we weren’t going to get a full crew whilst guys chased up trying to get the day off when I contacted the call up list. It went from looking like only 3 guys and a cancellation but then at the last minute I could have filled the boat twice. We had our 5 guys booked and then we were informed one couldn’t make it when we ar...rived in the morning. Then there were 3... Hang on a minute, we were still missing another bloke. I made the call and we hung around for him to arrive and kicked off the charter an hour later. It was well worth the wait because before we had finished the first test drift, everyone had landed their first squid. Not bad, so we did it again and the boys were on again. Third drift Scotty turned his Facebook live stream and of course catching squid live on camera made for good footage. Plenty of southern calamari were caught and all of the 4 guys had landed a giant Cuttlefish each. To our surprise and as the Nor’ Easterly wind increased in ferocity an evil looking but substantially sized Red Devil Arrow Squid pounced on an egihead jig for something different for us to look at. Be careful when holding them, they are quite flexible and aggressive when held. All up we had caught 33 squid and please note in this video we miscounted pay attention around 4/5. The egihead owner jigs performed their duties well and we had released a lot of squid when we were back at the ramp as well, the guys only took 4-5 each. Best thing about the trip is that no one lost a jig . I would like to thank all the guys that have been booking me for private fishing guides and supporting everything I have done. 24.01.2022 Catching up on videos showing what we are all about... Some sessions can be tough, But what we teach can still provide some success for those willing to learn and build consistency when catching southern calamari. We exclusively use Egihead squid jigs on these charters.

23.01.2022 Tuesday 12th June saw us on our 14th booking on the green machine with Scotty Lyons catch a total of 30 southern calamari for the session. Exclusively using Egihead jigs available at Egihead.ecwid.com the stats now are at... 372 southern calamari in total over 14 sessions (4hrs each session) Most caught in a session 67 (not including cuttlefish) all caught using exclusively Egihead squid jigs. ... 22.01.2022 Great day yesterday on #southerncalamaricharters aboard the Green Machine with Scotty Lyons. Some decent 33-35cm hood models around too busting the myth that it... is only in winter when you get those sizes in NSW. We exclusively use #egihead squid jigs on these charters which I supply to the guys and yesterday we put out the latest egihead Jigs built for us by Owner Japan to the test. The squid were on and when caught were barely able to leave a mark on the super strength cloth on these jigs and right now Owner builds some of the best squid jigs out of any of the tackle companies in Japan, We are so stoked they made these for us. The guys yesterday totalled 19 Southern Calamari plus 2 decent cuttlefish (released) The total tally on our charters now stands at a whopping 309 Southern Calamari caught over 12 sessions (4 hours long each) and they are all caught on egihead jigs. These sessions are always met with a great bunch of blokes and it’s a great laugh as well. Thanks to the guys from yesterday for a great day and it was a great laugh to see Chris get the 300th squid fall through a hole in the net but his fishing partner in crime Rob come in and try to scoop the $50 prize egihead voucher I offered , Also gents just letting u all know, Scotty tried pinching a squid for a Snapper bait, he was hiding it in the drain pipe, I watched him do his best to extract it after he took his boat back up to his place ...
