25.01.2022 Happy National Science Week from Southern Conservation. We ask is this a paddock? Swamp? Or both? It certainly looks like a swamp now but it will be a functioning paddock in summer, so the answer is probably both. It harks back to the ongoing feuds between farmers and environmentalists. There are drains in this paddock/swamp and it will likely be used by native water birds this season. So it’s just another way of looking at our land, before farms it was truly wild land. 23.01.2022 It is acknowledged by my peers that the Moyne Shire is one of the most cleared landscapes on the planet, yet they don't employ a conservation officer. Southern Conservation will be in Port Fairy from Tuesday explaining how we can help and also seeking the backing of residents. Hope to see you this week!

12.01.2022 Hope everyone had a good day back at work after Australia Day. We made some progress on the Newsletter, due to be finished Friday. This is one of the 12 Apostles along the Great Ocean Road with either some pigeons or corellas on it and some vegetation growing on it as well.
