25.01.2022 Update; 22foot Wanderer with it's fit-out nearing completion. Looking good with the options the customer wanted fitted. Loads of room with a galley through full length of van due to single beds. More pics to come on completion.

This van really packs a punch, because you can now go that extra mile and be able to set up camp at the harder to get at areas. Being a 5th Wheeler, you gain more interior space, but shorten the overall length when compared to a caravan. So this means you can have the extra space for things like an "Ensuite The Little Wanderer has been designed to give you plenty of free storage weight and still be towed by the smaller rated vehicles... starting with; Ford Falcon, Triton, and Hi-lux. One great standard inclusion fitted to this Van, is our very own ‘Easytraveller gen2’ Independent Trailing arm Airbag Suspension. This has been set up in a single axle configuration and is ultimately the best type of suspension, with the softest ride on the market today. You can easily raise, or lower the suspension with the flick of a switch. No need to worry about uneven ground, and no need for ramps or chocks anymore! There is an onboard air compressor that can also be utilised for pumping up all your tyres as well. The Little Wanderer still boasts the same quality products and technology as our other vans but is more practical and affordable. When it comes to quality, you’re getting a real nifty, versatile van for your buck, it's layout with its great use of space and loads of storage proves this. 15.01.2022 1973 Viscount. Starting the paint process with 42 years of dints to repair, removing several layers of silicone, and loads of sanding, then masking everything for a fresh coat of 2pac paint. Second colour going on this afternoon....should look sweet!

14.01.2022 Here's an update on Southern Cross' last two vans in production. We have twins! 2x Life Education 'Classroom' off-road 5th Wheelers that will be travelling to outback schools. Chassis and Air bag Suspension now done...just getting ready for fit out before the Styromax Insulated Panels instillation.

12.01.2022 Hi everyone. Yes, the rumors are true. Unfortunately after many sleepless nights, we have had to come to the sad decision to close Southern Cross Caravans and Easy Traveller Trailers.... We have had our own businesses for over 40 years with Southern Cross being our pride and joy for around the last 9 years. We feel we have built the best Custom off-road 5th wheelers and caravans on the market...and we know our owners will have many years of enjoyment and safe traveling in a Southern Cross. We have been struggling with this decision over the last 18 months hoping it would not come to this but due to the rising costs of labour and components and the downturn in the market which has worsened rather than improved we have had to make this call. We will be looking at alternatives re; maintenance required but Barry will make himself available to help and advise anyway he can. We will be contactable via this page and available at the Meadowbrook factory until 30th July. We have recently had some fun restoring a couple of Viscounts and a great little 1952 Sunliner, and are currently building two custom ‘Classroom’ 5th Wheelers in conjunction with Arrow caravans for a government funded agency ‘Life Education’. We just finished building the last Southern Cross ‘Wanderer’ 5th wheeler which left our workshop a week ago. We do have available our last 18 ft ‘Little Wanderer’ if you hear of anyone interested. A big positive will be to be able to join you all in doing more travelling around our wonderful country.
