25.01.2022 From 6 April to 28 June 2020 you wont need to pay child care fees which means were not paying Child Care Subsidy (CCS) during this time. If you started using ...child care since early April and want to keep using it after 28 June, you should start looking into CCS. If you want to claim it, and havent yet applied you should claim now. Theres no need to wait. If you were getting CCS before 6 April 2020, you wont need to do anything for it to start again on 29 June 2020. Tianna has worked for SCFDC for over 18 months providing quality care to families including weekends and after hours care, especially in the last 6 months during Covid. Tianna has been working long extended hours to allow her essential working families to continue to work. Despite her extreme work load, Tianna has spen...t all her spare hours working many late nights to complete her beautiful new dedicated Family Day Care space. 16.01.2022 I received this message and lovely photos from one of our Educators, who runs Jitterbugs Family Day Care in Rockhampton. Its so wonderful to see the children using their imagination and learning through discovery and play, thank you Jitterbugs FDC!! "What has COVID-19 taught me? Less is more!! I now each week put a different box resources on the large mat to see what everyone can do with it. We have ended up with mega train tracks covering the whole mat, mini cities with o...ur wooden blocks, farms with our Australian and farmyard animals and mega blocks for great towers and castles. All these were on offer previously but never played with however now they all get involved and work together. 04.01.2022 SCFDC Playgroup What a gorgeous winters day it was in Bundaberg yesterday, the skies were bright blue and the temperature was a beautiful 24 degrees, the perfect day for our SCFDC playgroup at Alexander Park! Thank you to all our Educators who were able to join us for playgroup, we all had a beautiful morning together and the children definitely enjoyed themselves and the company of other children! The children spent lots of energy on the playground equipment, made some new... friends and enjoyed a picnic morning tea together. Our Educators have been through one of the hardest times in their career with the recent free childcare period, this was a true test for us all. We worked tirelessly with our Educators and were able to give them the support they needed to ensure their business remained viable and doors remained open allowing them to continue to provide premium quality childcare to our community and families. Today at Playgroup, both Coordinators were gifted the most beautiful gift baskets from our Educators who all wanted to express their appreciation to us during Covid-19 and the free child care period. It was so unexpected, we felt so very humbled and appreciative of the thought and efforts put in by our ladies, this brought tears to our eyes and really was validation that we are doing exactly what we need to to support our team. We have been enjoying different textures and we have been using coloured rice to play in with our hands and even using it in a old plastic water bottle for making our own special music. While we have not been able to venture too far at the moment we have also been enjoying the weekly online story sessions on Zoom from the Bushkids team and interacting with other friends all over Bundaberg.
