25.01.2022 That looks familiar.

25.01.2022 Good morning Sydney. Lovely sunny day and a huge crew of students. Happy Father's Day!

25.01.2022 Well done John Sharpe on sending Olivier Lapierre solo today!

25.01.2022 Some great looking clouds in NZ yesterday.

24.01.2022 Our fleet left at Camden has been feeling a bit lonely while club members have been enjoying themselves at Cootamundra. With the rest of the fleet due back this weekend, we will once again have a full hangar. Come on out to Camden and enjoy the silent scenic flight, or even take up that dream you've always had of learning to fly!

23.01.2022 Roger Perrett 500km flight at 105kph! A lovely street on the way home! Well done Roger and Justine!

23.01.2022 We're open to the general public again! Ever wanted to experience the thrill of soaring like an eagle? Well now you can again with us here at Camden - just a short drive from Sydney. Bookings for air experience flights can be made here: https://www.gliding.com.au/fly-wi/enjoy-a-trial-flight.html Look forward to seeing you out here in the beautiful Sydney skies with us!

23.01.2022 We are sorry to report that the gliding legend Hans-Werner Grosse has passed away. His 1972 flight of 1460 kilometers from Lübeck to Biarritz in southern France made Hans-Werner Grosse a legend of distance gliding. He died on February 18th at the age of 98.

23.01.2022 Superb effort by Michael Brandon today - punting the club's Junior (glider, not person) around a 300km flight! https://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-/gliding/flightinfo.html

22.01.2022 Training our next generation of aircraft maintenance members. Jacques from our fellow club, Lake Keepit Soaring Club, came to Camden on the weekend to inspect one of our club gliders. Even an almost brand new aircraft can have issues, as our eagle-eyed inspector trainees found out!

22.01.2022 How to one-up the lounge-chair paraglider - why a full bedroom suite of course! https://youtu.be/nosbBYsD4Y8

22.01.2022 Marcos first passenger flights! Well done Marco!

20.01.2022 Summer is on the way time to get excited #glide #gliderpilot #pilot #thermal #soaring #pilbra

20.01.2022 A feast with a glider maintenance problem basically sums up our weekend course for airworthiness training. Each year, for the last two weekends in September, we run a course to train or examine airworthiness members.

19.01.2022 Apparently I live on the wrong continent

19.01.2022 Club COVID Status 19 July SCGC now reopens its doors to members of other clubs to come fly at Camden on an ad-hoc basis if you need to maintain some recency. In light of the developing cluster in our neighbourhood of SW Sydney, we are still not accepting Air Experience Flights at this time. If you'd like to learn to fly, we are accepting new members! Quiet winter days are the perfect time to take up a new hobby and enjoy the wonders of soaring with the eagles! Justin Couch, Club President

18.01.2022 Open to all glider pilots in Australia. Great for your newly, or nearly-solo pilots that would like to have an intensive session of cross country training. Suitable for anyone that has done up to their 300km badge. Limited spots (max 6) so sign up soon before they all disappear!

18.01.2022 State level items for soaring in NSW. Will be a good place to see what the other clubs are up to. Please like and subscribe over there too!

17.01.2022 DGU is back and ready to fly! After several months out of the air for its 3000hr life extension inspection, we got to do the evaluation flight. The background looks a little different to our normal Camden location. We're are Narromine Gliding Club with many club members having fun at the Narromine Cup.

17.01.2022 A lovely end to the month. Two days of fantastic soaring weather with multiple flights over 2hrs, and several students getting solid training time. Come join us in August to learn to soar with the eagles!

17.01.2022 Just a typical day at Lasham!

16.01.2022 Weather forecast Camden rain all day Saturday! You missed out again! Photo Roger Perrett.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Olivier on your first solo today!

16.01.2022 Melysha on the grid at Narromine! Photo by Roger Perrett.

16.01.2022 The new Bond Glider or crazy bottle opener!

15.01.2022 Spotted at Camden on Sunday before the rains came a superb JS1 jet sustainer. The owner prefers to remain anonymous but smart people will work out who it belongs to. The attention to detail on these Jonkers is really first class.

15.01.2022 Hope you guys dont mind. My son took this last week. We were watching at Cootamundra and snapped a few shots. A big thank you to Steven (tug pilot/glider pilot)... who took the time out to have a chat and show my son around one of the gliders. Hopefully we will get a chance to fly with you next year. See more

15.01.2022 Often-asked question. Here's a great short video showing the process.

15.01.2022 Handy app for iphones/ipads - with the OGN station at Camden, you too can watch us from the comfort of your lounge chair.

15.01.2022 Almost perfect - just needs a pair of white crosses under the numbers :D

14.01.2022 Back when we had a train service all the way into Camden.

14.01.2022 Congratulations Marco on your first 50k flight! https://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-/gliding/flightinfo.html

14.01.2022 Club member Roger, enjoying learning about how to maintain gliders. Shortly after this he was granted his Annual Inspector rating.

14.01.2022 Great to see our fellow Sydney gliding club making progress. New glider and tug incoming!

13.01.2022 Looks like the flight simulator market is heating up after MS Flight 2020 was recently released! https://edition.cnn.com//airplane-mode-travel-g/index.html

12.01.2022 Cootamundra today. Strong SW winds and difficult conditions. Only a brave few launched. Including Andrew P in the Junior!! Coota form 3000, AGL.

12.01.2022 The history of cockpit design, with some fascinating pictures. Google translate gives a reasonable approximation of the story, but worth it for the pictures alone. https://nordicgliding.com/cockpit-genom-tiderna/

11.01.2022 Excellent day at Camden 4600ft looking at Thirlmere lakes.

10.01.2022 Roger Plumpton in the DG1000 taken by Andrew Plumpton in the junior.

10.01.2022 Masked Marco and Mum about to take off!

08.01.2022 New drone video of the experimental Sunseeker Duo.

08.01.2022 Uday got five hours in the concrete swan today.

07.01.2022 Congratulations Melysha great first landing in the LS4.

07.01.2022 Too wet to fly, let's work on glider maintenance. Putting our new solar system and lighting to test, we worked with a visitor from Lake Keepit on their glider, and started the 3000hr life extension inspection for DGU. Hiding in the corner of the photos is the club's ASG29 still waiting for the pins to arrive from Germany. It is summer holidays there so will be several more weeks before we can let it out of the hangar to fly again.

07.01.2022 There's a few club members that could relate to this

07.01.2022 Just a reminder to be careful with ground handling!

07.01.2022 At least the glider is wearing a face mask.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Bernard on your first solo today! A gorgeous day to do it on in midwinter.

06.01.2022 A life extension is a deep inspection of the aircraft - much more so than the annual inspection. This is when you address all the little things that you've been putting off for a while.

05.01.2022 All wrapped up snuggly for bed time after sanding. We have a bit of a bird issue in the hangar and we don't feel like having to deal with "presents" from them when we come back to it next weekend.

05.01.2022 Great day at Camden! Great people great clouds even great lift!

03.01.2022 Camden a little windy!

03.01.2022 El Presidente is competing in the Formula 1.0 GP. Looking pretty chill for the practice day.

03.01.2022 An inspiration for all parents with children that dream of flying - 14 years old (15 here in Oz) and solo. Our club has a very active juniors soaring group and we're accepting new members right now. Juniors can qualify for a scholarship too. Come and join the art of soaring with the eagles!

03.01.2022 Cootamundra later start with tug trouble.

02.01.2022 Southern Cross Glider still going strong!

01.01.2022 Happy Australia Day.

01.01.2022 Interesting launching method although this glider has a terrible glide ratio it became the fastest aircraft ever!
