12.01.2022 Every year, thousands of people are seriously injured and about 1200 are killed on Australian roads. Traffic injury is the biggest killer of Australian children under 15 and the second-biggest killer of Australians aged between 15 and 24 accordingly to the Australian Automobile Association 2019 Report- https://roadsafetyweek.com.au/road-safety-week. These numbers are growing but are preventable if we choose to DRIVE SO OTHERS SURVIVE! Join #SouthernCrossGroup in raising awareness and promoting safe driving! Everywhere. Always. #NationalRoadSafetyWeek #RoadSafety #SouthernCrossTraffic #NRSW #DriveSoS

10.01.2022 Stay Safe When You Have to Work Late from the #Office: 1. Safeguard your valuables in case you are not the only one left in the building. If you can, lock yourself into your working area to prevent others from entering. 2. If security members are on site, ask that they notify you of their presence with a door knock during your #welfarecheck. If you have to leave your office, be sure to lock the door behind you. 3. Avoid walking throughout the building alone. If #security is available, you can ask for a security professional to escort you to your destination. #Worklate #StaySafe #SafetyTips

09.01.2022 These are the kind of news we don't want to have to write or share but it is crucial to remind everyone again and again of the importance to follow traffic rules and speed limits regardless of your perception of works happening on site. Another #trafficcontroller in Western Australia was struck and killed by a #car yesterday morning. We are deeply saddened by this loss, our heart is with this man's family, friends and co-workers. Be vigilant. Comply with Australian road laws. https://thewest.com.au//male-traffic-controller-hit-by-car #thewest #news

01.01.2022 #SafetyTips All employees need to be alert for potential risks at their workplace. Strange behavior or suspicious activity should be reported to proper authorities immediately. If you see something, say something! Here are some examples of #suspiciousactivity: 1. Arriving and leaving at unusual hours.... 2. Trying not to be noticed. 3. Acting in a suspicious manner. 4. Someone asking questions about a building’s purpose, operations, security procedures, personnel, shift changes, etc., at a level beyond curiosity. 5. An unidentified person taking photographs of facility assets. 6. Strange or illegally parked vehicles. 7. Continually keeping hands in the pockets as if holding or grabbing something in there. 8. Individuals who continuously attempt to access restricted parking areas should also be in your watch list. #Security is a shared responsibility, and each citizen has a role in identifying and reporting suspicious activities. Your community is safer when you are engaged and alert. #awarenesstip #southerncrossgroup See more
