10.01.2022 ADELAIDE RALLY ON JACKSTANDS UNTIL MARCH 24 to 27 NEW DATE We will be running the 2020 Shannons Adelaide Rally in early 2021. The new event dates to be confir...med are March 24-27th being the week after the Melbourne Grand Prix and a week before Easter. This is 17 weeks away. Some comprehensive research shows us that this period of time exceeds that which Victoria required to gain control of the virus and it is also approximately 1 month after the time that Australia is expected to have access to several of the vaccines due in the first half of next year. The average daily maximum temperatures are 24.5 degrees and the dates are still within Daylight Saving time. REINSTATMENT OF ENTRIES FOR THOSE THAT WITHDREW Those entrants, such as the entries from Western Australia and Victoria that withdrew early because they couldn't get to the event, will now receive priority to be relisted as entrants in the March Event. The feedback from those from interstate has been heartwarming and we thank you all for continuing to support our event and run at the March event. VEHICLE TRANSPORT OPTIONS Through the planning process for what would have been next week's event, we have discovered transport partners from WA, QLD and ACT that can take multiple cars to Adelaide, email us for details. We also formed a relationship with CEVA Logistics that has discounted rates for transport to Adelaide Contact [email protected] and we can also organise pickup from depot and secure storage for entrants. TARMAC CUP SERIES - WINNER TO BE CROWNED AT ADELAIDE RALLY IN MARCH The Tarmac Cup series we operate with our friends at Targa West events will be decided at the March Adelaide Rally event being the final round of the series. Several Western Australian entries are leading the points table. A POSITIVE NOTE With the Western Australian and Victorian entrants expected to feature on the entry list again, we are projecting a field of over 120 cars running for trophies at the March event and a total field capacity of 400 cars. This means our event cements itself as the largest event of its type by a very long way. We are also hopeful of a return of the Gouger Street Party and other traditional festivities attached to the event for the March running.

09.01.2022 Only 7 spots left until the 2020 Willunga Hillclimb entry list is full and we start the reserves list. At this stage it looks like we will still be able to run the event on December 13th as we come back out of Lock Down in SA from COVID 19.

05.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT- With the recent COVID cluster prompting the state government to implement some restrictions again, we are seeking clarity surrounding the latest r...ules from SA Health. As one can imagine, they have been bombarded and we are awaiting formal advice in the coming day/s. Our event is a unique outdoor event and has approved COVID Safe plans even with the new restrictions in place. We wish to convey that should we choose to not run the event next week, we will be postponing the event to early next year. All entrants will receive direct communication relating to this when a decision is made. As you can appreciate we want to make a decision very swiftly but are reliant on other stakeholders advice which affects that decision. The event is ready to run right now. See more
