24.01.2022 Located 8km down Albany highway from Armadale, Southern Districts Rifle Club specialise in Field Rifle and 3 Positional Rimfire and Centrefire rifle. We also run a number of other competitions such as Single Action, Field Pistol, Mandar, Revolver, Open sight Rifle and occasional Metallic Silhouette matches for Rimfire and Single Action. Visitors are welcome, check the calendar on our website for the match you are after (Click on the learn more button). We shoot rimfire rifle (.22LR) every Saturday from 11:00. As you head down Albany highway you will enter the 90kph zone and pass Yule-Do roadhouse. Get in the right lane and turn into the Road Train Assembly bay. Our gate is on the left as you enter the bay. Leave your gear in your vehicle and speak to the range captain.

23.01.2022 Save the date and let your friends know. Southern Districts Rifle Club will be holding our annual Open Day on Saturday the 27th of October 2018. 9.00am to 4.00pm.... More information will be posted closer to the day.

18.01.2022 In light of the developing Covid-19 crisis and in the interest of public safety the Southern Districs Rifle Club will suspend all range activity until further notice. This is effective immediatly.

17.01.2022 Thank you to all our visitors on the Open day. It was great to meet everyone and the positive feedback was really appreciated. We hope you all enjoyed yourself and you are most welcome to return.

15.01.2022 As most may know the implementation of Western Australian phase 5 restrictions , which includes the removal of social distancing has been pushed back to a tentative date of August the 1st. To this point we must unfortunately also push back our plans for the return of visitors. To ensure the safety of visitors and our members, supervising staff have to get up close and personal with inexperienced persons on the firing line and with the current 1.5 metre rule this is not possi...ble until that rule is removed. To all those who have made contact with our club please hang in there. Visitor’s wishing to try out the sport of competitive target shoot with the view of membership is the future of the sport and our club. Again, please be patient and we will advise as soon as we know the date we can accommodate visitors to the range.

14.01.2022 The range is now closed for 2017. SDRC wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and we look forward to seeing you again in 2018.

13.01.2022 Update to the National Rule book for Field Rifle/ 3 Positional rifle competitions. Please be advised that the new Rev 8 rule book has been approved and released by SSAA national. The new rules can be found here: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url... The most significant changes are the rifle weight limit increases and time limit decrease for prone position. Rimfire rifles may now weigh 4.6kg which aligns us with metallic silhouette rifle weights and opens up opportunities for intermixing of the disciplines. Centrefire rifle limits have been increased to 5.5kg so that modern, heavy barrel rifles and modern scopes with heavy glass can be used as standard from the manufacturer without the need to cause damage to a beautiful stock or barrel. The time limit for the prone position in both 3P competitions is now 20 minutes which aligns with international competition time limits.

13.01.2022 As of tomorrow we are reopening our facilities to modified competition. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate non members at this stage. Visitors and prospective members are very important to our club and our sport in general and we will be addressing this as soon as we can. ... Please keep checking in as we post updates in the coming weeks.

12.01.2022 Guys we need your help. The WA police dept have made changes to transport requirements that have crippled local businesses and prevent any movement of firearms or parts at this time. Please write to the police minister and support our desperate firearms dealers. http://www.ssaawa.org.au/news/firearms-transport-in-wa/

11.01.2022 The club would like to thank all of you for getting our page over 100 likes. This is not why we created the page but more likes makes us show up easier to people trying to find us. Thank you & good shooting.

09.01.2022 This Sunday we hold our ANZAC shoot to commemmorate the sacrifices of our Aussie diggers and our Kiwi brothers. All rifles are welcome to join in the day but if you have a service rifle to use or display please bring it down. Centrefire rifles will be in use so bring muffs.
