15.01.2022 SFP would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have been blown away by the generosity of our community! SFP have been ever so lucky to have the support of a number of local businesses who so kindly donated to our first ever fundraiser.... A huge thank you also to every single one of you who purchased a ticket to enter our Raffle over the weekend! Please find the video of the Raffle Draw in the comments below! This was drawn at our Mamma Mia After Party, which we would also like to thank The Portside Tavern for allowing us to use their space. 14.01.2022 Dear Members, We are still going to hold our Southern Flinders Players AGM on the 1st of May at 6pm. However this will look a little different to how it has in the past. We will be holding this via zoom and you will be provided with a meeting code, via this page, closer to the date. We encourage all members to attend. We have a different system for voting of new committee positions under these circumstances. This will include nomination prior to the meeting and we are using ...Microsoft Forms for voting, if it is needed. The following positions will be vacant and able to be nominated for: Chairperson (2 year position) Treasurer (2 year position) 4 General Committee (2 year position) 1 General Committee (1 year position) These nominations need to be submitted to our Secretary, Emma Branson, by the Sunday the 26th of April at 6pm. This is to be done by a one line expression of interest to [email protected]. Any apologies can also be emailed to this address. Anyone is able to attend the AGM and nominate for positions, however only life members or anyone that has been a financial member in the past two years will be able to vote. When considering your nomination, we ask that you ensure you are able to commit fully to our company. We expect that all committee members have considered their ability to practise confidentiality and have considered any conflicting interests, so that they are able to prioritise building the future of our organisation. As this is a new process to us, we ask you to be patient on the day if any technical difficulties do occur. We hope to see you all then SFP Committee

05.01.2022 Southern Flinders Players are seeking expressions of interest for our We Will Rock You production team. The Production Team will support the Creative Team to bring the production to life! We are seeking: Costumes coordinator Sets coordinator... Props coordinator Hair and makeup coordinator Publicity and publications coordinator Assistant director/ directors assistant If you are interested in being involved in production elements, but not in a leadership role please also let us know! We are always keen to create teams and share the projects, so if you want to organise, collect, shop, paint, take photos, create documents.... hand out flyers.... We want to know! Please note that interest in cast and crew will be called for at a later date! Expressions of interest should be emailed to [email protected] by midnight, Saturday the 8th of August, and should outline why you would like to be considered for this role in no more than 200 words. Successful applicants will need to begin work on the project through out August, with the production occurring on the 19th and 20th of February.

03.01.2022 We Will Rock You! Southern Flinders Players are so excited to announce that we are tentatively starting our planning for our 2021 production, intended for performance 19th and 20th of February, with pre-production beginning from July, and rehearsals intended from October. This year, instead of calling for a director, we are calling for creative team, who will collaboratively be responsible for directing this production. These people will work together to create a vision and ...then bring that vision to life. While it is our desire that the group work collaboratively at all times, the director will lead this group, with the responsibility of bringing together the groups ideas. This group will include Director Musical director Choreographer Technical director Once appointed the group will call for set, costume, hair/makeup, prop and publicity personnel, along with anyone else interested in assisting with elements of production, including assistant director and dance captains. Applications should be no more than 500 words and include Experience Values in relation to community theatre Vision for this show Applications are to be emailed to [email protected] by the 20th of June. Applicants are to be made as individuals not proposed teams. *Please note that everyone involved In this production needs to be prepared to adapt and change as our current climate evolves. Successful creative team will need to be willing to lead this.
