25.01.2022 Pack up the 4WD and make tracks to Peterborough SA! Less than three hours from Adelaide, and home to stunning scenic drives, make your next driving holiday to Peterborough a road trip to remember! Plan your visit at www.maketrackstopeterborough.com.au... Photo: Hayley Trott

25.01.2022 So much to explore in the Southern Flinders Ranges, you wouldn't think a gorge as gorge-ous as this would be tucked away in Mount Remarkable National Park not too far from Wilmington. With all of the rain we've had recently there is plenty of water flowing through this ancient gorge, so get up here and check it out. It's also spring flower time in the outback, so it's the perfect time to visit.... Thank you to @all.about.adventure for the photo!

25.01.2022 Still on a break? Why not enjoy the summer sun and explore Mount Remarkable National Park like @shelleykins at Mambray Creek Campground. Don’t forget to jump on the www.parks.sa.gov.au to pre-book. #SouthernFlindersRanges #NaturallyUnexpected #MountRemarkable #MambrayCreek #Camping #Summer #OnlyinSa #Explore

24.01.2022 If you're a keen cyclist, then you simply must visit the Southern Flinders Ranges. Melrose is mountain bike central, with approximately 80km of single track trails in the foothills of Mount Remarkable and nearby, and over 20 trails to explore, it's pretty obvious why. Head to Over the Edge Melrose (pictured) as stop number one for all the information on biking you will ever need in this region, plus a great coffee or a spot of breakfast to start your day off the right way. And for a bit of research, make sure to visit BIKE Melrose's brilliant website for a few local tips and tricks.

24.01.2022 School holidays are finally here, hallelujah! Spend them outside enjoying the Great State of South Australia, right here in the Southern Flinders Ranges just like A Winter Escape blog did. The kids are searching for tadpoles in the waters of Alligator Gorge in Mount Remarkable National Park. If you're looking to stay a few nights, you better book quick as accommodation is filling up fast, even campsites!

24.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL MOUNT BIKERS! Do you know about the Melrose Double Header happening this weekend, 24 and 25 October? 24.01.2022 Laura, approximately 2.5 hours north of Adelaide in the Southern Flinders Ranges, is home to Golden North Ice Cream and known for Australian author and poet C.J. Dennis. There's so much to see and do in Laura, like visiting the Courthouse Gallery, embarking on the Rail Trail to Stone Hut, and before you go, drop into the Laura Information Outlet for some local goodies and souvenirs. Grab a pub lunch at the North Laura Hotel, famous for their generously large steak portions. Perfect base to explore the region. : @flossie_create.talk

23.01.2022 How's this for a view of the Wirrabara Silos? We think DaleMac Photography did a fine job capturing the town's iconic artwork at golden hour a few months back. A few more silo art projects are popping up in the mid-north making for a fantastic Aouth Australian silo art road trip! So start making your playlist and get ready to hit the road.

23.01.2022 Reflections in Alligator Gorge, Mount Remarkable National Park. It's been said before and we'll say it again - Mount Remarkable NP does truly live up to its name. Alligator Gorge is not too far outside the town of Wilmington, and boasts incredible scenery, wildlife and a fantastic loop walk through the belly of it. The ring route will take about 4 hours to complete so make sure you pack some water and good hiking shoes. Tag us in your photos on your next visit, just like @mb_photography03 (IG) did!

22.01.2022 A little bush wander through Telowie Gorge is good for the soul, and as @fullspeedyahead experienced, a night or two is definitely recommended - there's more where this came from... You could easily explore this as a day trip, but to get the full Southern Flinders experience, a night or two is definitely recommended - there's more where this came from...

22.01.2022 WEEKEND INSPO: INSPIRED BY NATURE Sticking with our outdoor theme this week, here's an idea for a family day out this weekend. Why not take the kids to the new Nature Playground at Bowman Park in Crystal Brook? Make use of the BBQ facilities or wander up the street for lunch at Kupsch Bakery, a favourite for the locals.... 22.01.2022 It’s hard to compete with the Southern Flinders Ranges for sunsets, as @__serio__ (IG) knows all too well City types looking to get out of dodge and escape to the country find this place an elixir for the soul. Hit the road and you’ll find your ‘off-switch’ kicks in pretty quickly - with fresh perspectives and fresh air on tap 24/7 something not lost on the sheep in the foreground, grazing as the sun slips into the horizon. With amazing mountain biking and hiking, and spectacular gorges just some of the local attractions, you'll never want to leave. Repost South Australia

21.01.2022 We bet that when you think of the Southern Flinders Ranges, fishing doesn't come to your mind. What if we told you that there are plenty of places that you could drop your line, like the Beetaloo Reservoir? Located just east of Port Pirie, you can fish for golden perch, silver perch and Murray cod off the shore. Pack a picnic to make a day of it or stay at Beetaloo Grove , explore neighboring towns. You could have lunch at the Stonehut Bakery and Petting Zoo, saying hello t...o the residents of course before heading to enjoy Golden North Ice Cream in Laura. Fun fact: this reservoir was built around 1886 and could fill 1500 Olympic swimming pools! Please note, you will need a permit to fish from Beetaloo Reservoir which can be obtained online. 19.01.2022 Beyond the yellow brick road lies an ancient wonderland abound with jaw-dropping wonders! Sitting on the doorstep of Mount Remarkable and surrounded by yellow fields of canola come spring, Melrose is the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges and gateway to the wonders that lay beyond in Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. Follow the yellow brick road like @australian_scenes and her mate Skippy and continue onto one of the dusty trails and discover the incredible Southern Flinders Ranges.

19.01.2022 Sometimes it would be nice to be a bird and have views like this all the time... but get your head out the clouds and come for a drive! The drive through Port Germein Gorge is absolutely stunning, especially after the rain. Exploring the surrounds like Telowie Gorge and camp at nearby Murray Town.... Blissful weekend in nature. : @serio
