25.01.2022 This article sums up the concerns of the community and user groups really well. Thanks everyone who submitted comments, hopefully the all the issues within it are addressed before the government does anything permanent. http://www.northernargus.com.au//calls-for-secured-fores/

25.01.2022 Theres a runner on the Heysen Trail at the moment that is trying to break the fastest known time to complete it from end to end. David Turnball started in Parachilna on Thursday and is aiming to be in Cape Jervis within 10 days of starting. He is currently running through Mt Remarkable National Park and will be running through Melrose today. Keep your eyes peeled and give him a shout of encouragement if you see him. You can track him online here http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp

23.01.2022 What a great idea! Mountain View Homes in Booleroo Centre are raising money for dementia care. Join them on Sunday 24th at 10am for a 2.8km or 5km walk and show your support. With a trading table, lucky squares, refreshments, and a sausage sizzle it should be a great day out. Were going! Who else is coming? Share or tag a friend and come out for a walk!

21.01.2022 Coming to Melrose on August 20th - the King of the Mount! Are you up to the challenge?

20.01.2022 We had a great day yesterday at the Memory Walk fundraiser for Mt View Homes Incorporated. Thanks to Tania Woolford for organising the event - a fun time was had by all. The kids especially had a ball. It was a great atmosphere on the lawns of Mt View Homes after the event. The money raised will be used to purchase 2 chairs similar to the pictured chair. These chairs are on lockable wheels allowing staff to move residents in and out from the table easily with out having to pull standard chairs and risk causing injury to them self or the resident. Thanks to everyone that turned out to support our fantastic aged care facility!

19.01.2022 Youll find our course markers every 200m this year. Focus on your run and not the navigation! Gpx files will be made available for those that still want them.

19.01.2022 Al Clarke and Quinten would like to officially announce their new partnership and business venture, "In The Flinders". We have decided to make some big changes in our lives and create a business doing what we love best - enjoying the outdoors. Our new business "In The Flinders" has been created with the goal of sharing our beautiful district with as many people as we can. In The Flinders will be hosting guided tours and trail-running events in the Southern Flinders Ranges.... We have some very exciting events planned that we cant wait to share with you. To get things started, this week we will be releasing information about a brand new guided walk we are hosting (in time for Christmas!) and well have some info out soon about a very special trail running event that is coming up next year!! (hint: its a unique trail event unlike any other in South Australia!) Please LIKE and SHARE our new Facebook page to help spread the word and learn more. https://www.facebook.com/intheflinders/

19.01.2022 Does this count as cross training? Al and I swapped leashes tonight the way back from the Bridle Trail. Wonkey Donkey and Dash seemed to get along well after meeting each other for the first time tonight.#bignews #comingsoon #midnorth #flindersranges #intheflinders #donkey #running #runningwithdogs #newadventures #southaustralia #sunset #trailadventure

19.01.2022 Exploring the Flinders Ranges in winter may mean you get your feet wet.

17.01.2022 Quick! Look out for the boys on the Channel 7 news.

17.01.2022 Climbing Mt Remarkable from sea level today.

17.01.2022 On air at the ABC. I felt more nervous than I ever did before any 100km event! Angela did a great job at putting us at ease though :)

16.01.2022 Im sure Marianne (Als wife) would agree with me on this one! Yep, both teachers and neither of us run like our hubbys do. Michelle

13.01.2022 Tonight I joined the boys for part of their run - I paced/coached from my bike! How can you not enjoy getting out in the spectacular country when we have sunsets like this. In The Flinders - the best place to be! Michelle

13.01.2022 Top of Mount Remarkable with its fab summit cairn - down other side now to Melrose - please give me some FLAT UNSTONY ground ! All good .

12.01.2022 Guess what the boys are doing tomorrow!

12.01.2022 Had a great day talking about our trail adventures at Mt View homes today, hopefully the residents of the home enjoyed hearing our stories and seeing our photos as much as we enjoyed showing them off. Great to meet Lance Arthur, the 91 year old fella who walked thirty kilometres in one hit earlier this year.

12.01.2022 UK Gear have given us two pairs of PT-1000 shoes (one womens, one mens) valued at over $200 ea!!! These shoes are the ultimate tough running shoe, designed t...o last 1000 miles!! 10.01.2022 105kms to run, and 4 checkpoints along the way. The shopping bags are for items they may need along the route. Each person is entitled to one per checkpoint. For this run a reflective vest and a handheld torch are requirements for the night section.

10.01.2022 Some photos from our last long run around Mount Remarkable. We had some pretty impressive views of Booleroo and the surrounding plains from the back country. Another perspective that many people dont get to view. Its hard to run and take it all in!

10.01.2022 Maiden run with wonky the donkey.

09.01.2022 Great news for Germein and our district!

09.01.2022 In The Flinders have just posted their first official guided walk. A leisurely 10km walk around Blesings Garden, along with wine tasting and a gourmet BBQ. Check it out, just in time for a Christmas get together! https://www.facebook.com/events/1337016499643308/

08.01.2022 I love the Flinders and going for a trail run in our lovely area. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to run elsewhere when were away on holidays. Spare a thought then for Al on his tropical island cruise. Running up vast hills and around tropical islands in New Caledonia must be quite depressing. Stay strong Al Clarke!

06.01.2022 Who agrees that Mount Remarkable is looking stunning this year? What a great time to explore Melrose and accomplish something that you can be proud of! Bookings close Friday 16th August.

06.01.2022 Does anyone know what sort of grub this is? Spotted in Wirrabara. Edit: It was about 1" long.

06.01.2022 Our long run last week was a loop around the back on Mount Remarkable, mostly across private property - the advantages of knowing the area and being a local! Check out a short video we made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTgJOkkbB4s

06.01.2022 King of the Mount start line... check!

05.01.2022 You'll find our course markers every 200m this year. Focus on your run and not the navigation! Gpx files will be made available for those that still want them.

05.01.2022 Another fun way to spend a day in the north!

05.01.2022 Just got back from 10km with David Turnbull, the runner attempting to break the fastest known time for the 1200km Heysen trail. At the end of a long day that included the steep country out the back of Mt Remarkable, he was still running everything. The way he was laughing and joking after all that punishment amazed me.

04.01.2022 I had an interesting "run" crossing the Flinders via Telowie gorge. Very overgrown and lots of goats. Has anyone seen a yellow footed rock wallaby in there since the Bangor fires?- Al

04.01.2022 At this rate the boys will be eating pizza about 3am and hitting the Woolshed! Hahaha Theyre just over the half way mark, 57km down

04.01.2022 EARLY BIRD SALE ENDS WEDNESDAY. Dont delay, get your tickets today! (dont forget walkers are welcome!!). Get to the summit with the support of our aid stations and volunteers. http://kotm.eventbrite.com.au/

03.01.2022 Thanks for Over The Edge for organising a bike ride, trail run, and walk to raise money for Movember. There was a great turn out and the sausage sizzle at the end was delicious!

01.01.2022 Are they serious?
