19.01.2022 The sun was sparkling this morning. The moss on one of the artworks in Kati Thamo's 'Forest Stones' series was gleaming.

18.01.2022 Ann Rice's exhibition opening event last Sunday was such a delight. Over 70 shiny happy people gathered to support Ann and SFA. We practiced our new 'pandemic friendly' social distancing and hygiene, including holding speeches outside in the garden. Thanks to Murray Johnson for providing the opening talk and to everyone that made the effort to join us in celebrating regional creative talent. Ann's exhibition is open daily 9am-4pm at The Painted Tree Gallery until mid August

14.01.2022 Thanks to Jane King (from John Curtin Gallery) for letting my know our Creative Grid project, Mycelium, has a current sci-fi sibling in the Star Trek: Discovery series. https://www.forbes.com///star-trek-discovery-spore-drive/ I like this quote from the above-mentioned article:... "Mycelium of belowground fungi connect plants and trees together, and have even been show to communicate with each other. Mycelium can transport nutrients between different plants or trees, and real-life Paul Stamets has the called the real-life mycelial network "Earth's natural internet". So that's what we're going to do in our 'regional arts internet' - communicate with each other, share ideas and resources as we nurture a community of support and flourishing. If you haven't completed the initial scoping survey to gauge interest in Mycelium, here's the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5TRH3SP Please share this along to your arts practitioner contacts in the regions.
