25.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. As you know I am privileged to run my classes at Central Villages Anglican Church Hall. It is wonderful to work together in, and for our community. Tom has shared a post with the church family to let us know there is a little boy in need of some support. Please read below and if anyone is able to contribute a cash donation to help this family please contact Tom at the Central Villages Anglican Church - 47591024 or myself. Thank you

17.01.2022 As this year comes to a close, I am taking the time to look back on the positive parts of a very strange year. #1 We found ways to maintain our health and fitness, and stayed connected through Zoom. Zoom was great for all classes. I am extremely proud of all the over 60 members who took on the technical challenge of exercising through Zoom. #2 I was pushed out of my comfort zone and we have created a wonderful website delivering quality programs for people to maintain t...heir strength in the comfort of their own home www.60plusstrong.com feel free to have a look, it’s a perfect time for a 30-day free trial. We also have a YouTube channel offering short workouts - https://www.youtube.com/c/UCQGM4-8Sn4XlmBIiZKbLtrA/featured #3 - I am able to offer new and improved classes for 2021. Keep your eyes out for the new timetable. #4 We had our Christmas Lunch!!! Celebrating together and sharing a meal is something that was much needed this year! #5 Friendships!! I have beautiful people in my life and I am in awe of the love and support that we have for each other. It is a huge blessing!! The friendships we have formed over the years is one of the things that make our classes extra special. In the last week of class, we lost a valued member suddenly. She will be greatly missed, RIP our beautiful friend xx The year 2020, while not wonderful on a whole, did bring wonderful things. I wish you all a Safe and Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year. Markesha and Family xx

17.01.2022 As most of you know, I don’t do the ‘New Year, New Me’ because I believe that if you want to make changes to anything in your life, the day you identify you need change, is the day you should start!! Today I am throwing out a few questions for you #1 - What is health and fitness to you?? #2- Why Is it or isn’t it important to you??... My Answers:- #1- Being able to function optimally without pain and being able to maintain a healthy weight without ‘dieting’. #2- I feel much better when I exercise, physically and mentally!! I’d like to think I’m setting a good example for my children to follow as I know that what I implement in my routine makes a huge difference, not just now but especially when I am older mobility, health, strength, wellbeing!! Next question, and most important - What are the roadblocks and challenges you may face that prevent you from being happy with where your health and fitness is?? What do you think needs to change?? (I am starting my list) 2020 has not been the greatest of years, and 2021 isn’t going to start how I’d like it to. There are a lot of things out of our control, but being here for people and helping make small manageable changes is one thing I can do. Please feel free to message me your answers . Trim and Tone Classes are starting back Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th January at 7pm at Lawson Anglican Church. There will be a focus for the first couple of weeks on hip mobility, glutes and core $12 per session until Term 1 starts (26th January.) Seniors Strengthening and barefoot classes will be starting back for Term 1 on Friday 22nd January. Please join our facebook page for short workouts and more https://www.facebook.com/60Plusstrong

15.01.2022 Train of thought.... do you conform to what society leads us to believe is correct or do you make a conscious choice to question it??? Barefoot. 90/90. Beam Training

15.01.2022 Some big challenges for me lately that have had me questioning, ‘Do I practice what I preach????’ Making changes to honour what I believe most. If it feels wrong it generally is!! Counting my blessings each and every day for the wonderful people in my life who fill my heart and soul with love and keep me grounded

14.01.2022 We have looked at this within some of my classes. If you struggle to do this movement at a younger age, it is highly recommended that you start looking into your strength and movement patterns! We have the ability to change the outcome!!

08.01.2022 Step One Complete

07.01.2022 Thought of the day.. Any negative aspect of your life will have something positive about it... try to look at it in a different way... can you bring a positive message from it? This trophy I won at a comp by default, there was only 3 of us in the category It doesn’t have any positive meaning to me. I should not have been on that stage. I completely screwed my body, head and direction of life to get the silly piece of plastic. I kept looking at it thinking I should throw the damn thing out. I decided however, that from that stage of my life I have found something beautiful and positive to take from it. So I transformed it into something that will grow and give lots of beautiful flowers when the time is right no more looking at what I lost, only what I have gained
