18.01.2022 A speaker at the 1936 Triennial World Conference quoted Benjamin Kidd, saying "Women's eyes always look to the future because they are the mothers of the next g...eneration. If women would participate more fully and more universally in world affairs, we would plan for the future more than we do now." Educating your community about the role of rural women in food systems and raising funds for Pennies for Friendship is a vital way of investing in the future, ensuring that rural women are represented in policy that will protect their rights and safeguard their futures.

17.01.2022 Check this out.

17.01.2022 The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment "has not effectively supported or overseen town water infrastructure planning since at least 2014. It does ...not have a clear regulatory approach and lacks internal procedures and data to guide its support for local water utilities that service around 1.85 million people in regional NSW" according to an audit released by the The Auditor General today. In light of the most recent crippling drought the CWA of NSW has been advocating for action on the inadequate quality of town water including drinking water in many regional areas. The drought has eased for many, but planning for an adequate standard of water for critical human needs for regional people should not be forgotten. https://www.audit.nsw.gov.au//support-for-regional-town-wa

12.01.2022 This resource was envisaged by a member of the Communications and Marketing Committee who wanted a resource to give to new couples. The purpose of this leaflet ...is not to be scary or to foreshadow problems in a marriage, but is to help young married couples learn about healthy conflict resolution, options for marriage counselling when they do run into difficulties, and recognise emotional and psychological abuse. At first, this approach may seem rather negative, introducing a potentially difficult topic in what should be a happy time. However, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is a pandemic in itself, with almost a third of women experiencing some form of IPV in their lives. We hope that you'll be able to use this resource in your community.
