18.01.2022 Had someone ring me in desperation yesterday as the roads were closed and they could not get home. Their two cats needed to be locked up so I found the emergency spare key they had in their backyard and attended to these two and a little outdoor dog that needed water topped up after reaching 44 degrees yesterday. If anyone is struggling and needs help with their animals during the fires I will be around right through Xmas

14.01.2022 **emergency? Last minute trip? No problem** Elenas 13, very cuddly (as you can see ) and needed to be locked up inside the house tonight. I was contacted by her owner at the last minute and because we did not have time to meet because of the long weekend she left me instructions. So Elena got to go out to the toilet, the Guinea pigs had thier food and water topped up and the chickens and ducks got put to bed. Always managed to fit in a last minute job. Especially one as cute as this

11.01.2022 Just a reminder guys when it rains the turtles are on the move . I’ve collected & removed 7 off the roads today & placed them in near by dams that have water i...n them well away from the road . When removing turltes off the road make sure you are not in danger of being hit by vehicles on the road . The safest way to hold a turtle is front to back & not from the side of the shell. Don’t worry about it’s neck it’ll pull its head into its shell & they do not bite . Always face the turtle on the side of the road it is facing & DO NOT place it on the side that it was crossing from , they will only turn around & try & cross the road again & possibly get hit by a vehicle . 02.01.2022 Beaus third Walky this week. Beau the beautiful Japanese Spitz lost his companion not long ago and had never really gone for walks coming from acreage. He didn’t know what traffic was till a few weeks ago. With his walks becoming regular I have been able to ease him into three weekly walks where he’s starting to feel more comfortable and confident, desensitizing him to his surroundings

I will be picking up any animals that I am caring for home with me tomorrow if they are in any danger but will also be on standby to help where I can if necessary. Even if it’s to watch your animals at the show ground while you need to leave to tend to other matters, at no cost, when available. Stay safe tomorrow
