25.01.2022 Feast Queer Youth Drop In is a social drop in space for queer/LGBTIQA+ young people, or those questioning their gender or sexuality, aged 15-25. It runs every second and fourth Thursday of the month, from 6-9pm, on Kaurna Land in the Adelaide CBD. Come along for activities or just to hang out and meet people- and enjoy dinner for an optional gold coin donation. No need to book ahead. This drop in is a talent night, featuring open mic slots of up to five minutes, as well as some quality pre-arranged local talent to get the creative juices flowing. Get on down!

16.01.2022 TOMORROW NIGHT! 9pm show Few tix left! www.australianburlesquefest.com... #Repost @abfestival (@get_repost) As an extra special treat, we've decided to add one more delicious performer to our already exquisite selection of scrumptious artists that make up The ABF Varietease - Adelaide show on October the 8th at the Goodwood Institute Theatre. ********** . Kristina International first ventured into the world of burlesque and cabaret around the time of the resurgence (in 2010), after being crowned the Inaugural Miss Drag South Australia. Since then, she has used her experience to develop performance opportunities for many other queens and has travelled across Australia and then the world to perform in shows, with some burlesque and cabaret greats earning her the recognition as The Famed Kristina International (SA Life). She is the founder of The Southern Sisters Drag Queen entertainment, taking shows throughout South Australia, bringing their distinguished charm to several far-reaching regions. And she has been involved as a performer and then a presenter at the Adelaide Fringe Festival for a decade! Kristina has been an active community queen, which lead her to be a 2019 Miss Gay Australia International pageant runner up, having taken out the titles of Best in Talent and Best in Evening Gown. During her reign she dedicated time towards helping develop a new drag community in Far North Queensland as well as improving LGBTIQ+ engagement closer to home as a Pride of the South committee member. 12.01.2022 Celebrating 5 Years of Southern Pride !!! Usually tonight I would have lost my voice from chanting down Beach Road as part of our amazing Pride of the South ann...ual march. Today, sadly, we couldn't march but we can absolutely celebrate 5 years of POTS amplifying the voices of our southern LGBTIQ+ community, leading change, compassionately reaching out to people and including them, traversing issues our community needs to confront and bringing people together to help people know that they are included and welcome. Have loved every minute of supporting the incredible POTS leaders and love and admire every one of them. Thank you so much POTS for your leadership and kindness, for helping everyone to know they belong; here's to the next 5 and beyond and all we will achieve together in the future! To date, over 50 people have been given the skills to help someone in crisis or suffering from poor mental health symptoms. Our partnership with Mental Health Partners has been successful and a great outcome for our community. If you wish to be a part of this opportunity in 2021, please email [email protected] with the subject title "MHFA". Your name will be put on our wait list for upcoming courses. 03.01.2022 And whichever way around it is, this still brings tears to these 57 year old eyes. To have this symbol of respect, of equality, of belonging, in a position of prominence in the public sphere, in a place I’ve spent my whole life, has deep, profound and significant meaning to me and others in our rainbow community in the South - that our lives, experiences and struggles matter, that we are valued and belong, we are celebrated for living our authentic ...lives. I remember those I grew up with here in the South, those like me who felt different but didn’t know why, experienced life on the margins, those who didn’t quite fit in, but for one reason or another, didn’t make it to this time. Our survival and thriving is a testament to those who came before us and whose lives will never be forgotten, symbolised by this joyous flag.

02.01.2022 We asked our fabulous POTS Committee Member and entertainer, Kristina International, What does Pride mean to you?
