02.01.2022 AWE. Searching for the essence in life that keeps us feeling fully alive. I’ve been reading about this recently to find some research and food for thought, that I can pass on to clients during this truly unique moment in time. . Research has shown that ‘people who regularly feel awe are more likely to be generous, helpful, altruistic, ethical and relaxed. People who spent time staring up at towering eucalyptus were more inclined to help someone’.... When we feel awe, we feel smaller and dwarfed by an experience. Bringing us to the present moment, giving perspective and a feeling of connection with one another. . Now, every time I leave the house to exercise, I make an effort to look around and find at least one thing that brings me feelings of awe. Try it and let me know.
