24.01.2022 What a great start back last night. New members and renewals went smoothly in the clubhouse. Make sure you fill in the forms at the tables provided and then stand on the markers for someone to assist. The sign in form will be on the verandah on Sunday and training money should be placed in the tin when signing in. Sanitiser is readily available throughout the club. During classes there will be no stands for exam and instructors will be following social distance guides. Bring gum boots and a towel for your dogs feet as the grounds are wet. Don’t forget the training treats for your dog!

21.01.2022 Agility is cancelled this morning the ground is still too wet. Sorry for the late noticeAgility is cancelled this morning the ground is still too wet. Sorry for the late notice

20.01.2022 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING We wish to advise all members that due to the COVID climate, our AGM will not be held this month as per traditional arrangements. The Club has applied to Consumer Affairs for three month extension in the hope that we will be able to be back on deck and hold our regular training and meetings then. In terms of memberships please note everything has been put on hold - existing members will not receive renewals until the restrictions are lifted and the Board will be extending all dates to take into account the missed membership time. We hope you are all staying safe at home with your pets.

20.01.2022 Trial catalogue for this weekend is below. Good luck to all the competitors and thank you for your entry. We are looking forward to a great day - the Kitchen will be open with plenty of food and drinks available and the grounds are looking really nice and green. **There will be a limited supply of catalogues available on the day.

20.01.2022 The Club wishes to pass on their deep felt condolences to Danielle and Brian Marsh on the very sad loss of their beloved daughter Carly. Many members would have known Carly as a very happy young woman, training first, Kona in both agility and obedience at Southern, as well as competing at fly ball competitions and more recently just starting to train her pup Sadie. Carly will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

18.01.2022 Just to confirm, YES the trial will still be going ahead tomorrow as planned.

17.01.2022 Agility Training: Unfortunately the grounds are not firm enough to be safe to do agility training 1/7 so our postponement of training is going to last a little longer. If we are lucky enough to have little to no rain we may be able to train on Sunday 5/7. Looking forward to being back training soon.

13.01.2022 Even with some restrictions being lifted the Club will remain closed for classes. We will reassess at the end of May. In the meantime the grounds are open for running your dog. Please pick up after them. It has been very disappointing to walk around and see members are not doing this. SODC

13.01.2022 Welcome back to training. This Wed (01/07/2020) will be our first training day back since COVID started. We have a few protocols in place that ALL members will need to be aware of. Please refer to the list below: - Do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your class starts - As you enter the grounds fill in the form for membership number and name... - Once you have paid for your training (correct money appreciated) head straight to your class area and remember social distancing. No tickets will be provided. - New members are to head inside - There will be tables set up and markings on the floor to adhere to - Your membership (new or renewal) will be processed all at the one table - Once completed please leave the building - The Kitchen will not be open - Sanitiser will be available to use - Most importantly, if you are unwell STAY HOME Please remember the Club is run by volunteers and many are in the risky categories. We ask that you support us so we can continue running the club to support you. If you are unwell after attending the club please email us at [email protected] Stay Safe

12.01.2022 GOOD NEWS TO ALL Members We are starting back on Wednesday evenings 1/7 and Sunday mornings 5/7. Wednesday morning is now on it's winter break. Note the kitchen will not be open.... Due to the ground conditions it's advisable to bring gum boots also a towel to wipe your dog's feet before getting into the car. It will be great to see you all again and remember social distancing still applies.

07.01.2022 ATTENTION MEMBERS Due to the fact that we have problems with the pump, the ground is covered in water and mud. It is advisable not to free run your dogs, otherwise you will have one or two or more extremely muddy ones and they will need a bath lol. UPDATE... The club will remain closed until the restrictions are lifted. Take care and stay safe everyone. ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS Due to current climate and concerns with the Coronavirus the Board of Management have decided to close until April 15th. A review will be completed then and further notification will be made as to the operational status of the club. We ask that everyone stay safe and continue to practice good hygiene and enjoy the company of their dogs. In terms of membership renewals please do not panic. The Club will complete renewals after we re-open. The grounds are still open for members to attend, no classes will run and the clubhouse will not open.

03.01.2022 On behalf of our members we express our deepest sympathy to Jenni Grigg on the loss of her husband Ross earlier today. Jenni has been a long time member of the club, past instructor and committee member. Ross has been a member for a long time with his Rottweilers and it has been very sad to hear of his passing today. Our deepest condolences.

02.01.2022 We are unfortunately closed again until further notice due to lockdown. Group training will resume once we are allowed to. The grounds will be open to run your dogs, be aware the ground conditions are very wet and muddy. It would be advisable to have a towel to wipe your dogs feet before getting into the car.... Many thanks to all who attended last Wednesday and Sunday. Any further changes will be noted here and on our website. In the meantime stay safe.

01.01.2022 Agility Training: No agility training 5/7 as the grounds are still too wet to train on. The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking promising. Stay warm and dry. I’ll keep posting here with updates.
