19.01.2022 Position Available Part-time Team Leader We are seeking 2 Part-time Team Leaders to join our family-friendly, fun-loving teams. We operate between Portsea and Mornington, and service Holiday Homes, Residential Homes and Commercial Properties. Generally days and hours are between Monday to Friday, and between 10am and 3pm, though work may be required outside of these hours.... Availability over school holidays is required. Award rates paid including super and allowances. Experienced preferred but not required. *Please note only applicants living within 45 minutes of Dromana will be considered. 15.01.2022 Cleaners, Holiday Home Owners and Property Managers! As we begin to open up for holiday-makers and with a renewed focus on the appropriate cleaning of properties, we feel it's a great time to remind everyone of the not-so-great arrangements our cleaning industry faces by some of the not-so-great businesses out there. 1) Airbnb and Stayz/ HomeAway have new COVIDSafe guidelines. Get proof your cleaners are actually following these! 2) Your cleaners should be using a hospital-gr...ade disinfectant proven to kill COVID-19 3) There is a difference between clean and disinfected, and a surface MUST be cleaned BEFORE being disinfected 4) Disinfectant has a dwell time, it is not effective if just sprayed and wiped 5) You CANNOT simply spray disinfectant on linen like quilt covers. If your cleaner is doing this there may be a bigger problem (not understanding how to clean different surfaces and materials appropriately or cutting corners) 6) Having to provide an ABN to your employer where they are your only source of work is sham-contracting and you are being ripped off and underpaid. You should only have an ABN if you are operating your own business 7) Cleaners must be paid travel time, not just time cleaning at properties We are calling on all owners and property managers to ask your cleaners if they are cleaning and employing correctly. You are also liable for any breaches, and it is only responsible clients who will force the bad operators out of our industry!
