11.01.2022 Unmarked police cars have been seen travelling at speed on the Riverina Highway, heading for Barooga with lights flashing. Police are not in a position to release any information on why they are required. More information to come.



07.01.2022 Finley’s Phillip Matheson officially retired from full-time duty as an Ambulance Service of NSW paramedic after nearly 40 years of service. The former Finley station manager will stay on as a casual paramedic in the Southern Riverina for one more year. Congratulations

06.01.2022 The Murray Valley Cricket Association have announced plans to start its season in early October. Competition will start with a series of 20/20 formatted matches.

06.01.2022 The infamous glider statue in Tocumwal was removed from in front of the old information centre last week. It is currently being stored at the Tocumwal Aerodrome while the Berrigan Shire Council decide between three different options for its future.

05.01.2022 NSW Liberal Member for Albury Justin Clancy has released a video announcing cross border restrictions would be relaxed from midnight tonight. Brandishing a copy of the new Public Health Order being tabled in Parliament tonight, Mr Clancy says it will allow anyone with a valid border region permit to cross in to NSW from regional Victoria. Permit reasons are expected to be removed, which he says "brings back daily life". Exact details are yet to be released.
