After a horror inaugural tournament, the Inswing Sports Bar Ignition have taken out Southern Smash #2 Setting Camtrans 157 to win, the Bulldogs fell 27 runs short. Brad Hogg wound back the clock, being named Player of the Final with his 3/8 off 4. Cameron Steel was also instrumental with his 71n.o at the top of the order

25.01.2022 THANKYOU FROM THE SOUTHERN SMASH COMMITTEE Now that the dust has settled on another Plunkett Homes Southern Smash, it is an appropriate time for us to pass on our thanks. This concept started with a couple of mates having a beer and it has grown to the amazing few days we witnessed.... There are too many people to individually thank but this competition would not be possible without the amazing community support from local businesses, our army of volunteers, umpires and importantly the players and coaches who travelled to experience Albany and contribute to the show we have worked hard to put on. Kids coming to watch and seek signatures and photos with their idols including stars like Brad Hogg and Travis Birt made us smile. We aim to continue to grow and evolve this competition and leave a lasting legacy for cricket in this region. Once again thankyou and we hope to see you again in less than 365 days; but who’s counting Albany Advertiser
