20.01.2022 Our Covid safety officers are all VOLUNTEERS abiding by rules set by the Queensland Government and in conjunction with our CovidSAFE plan. For us to play we nee...d to apply all of these requirements or we will get fined. On the weekend, several of our volunteers were abused by people when they were asked to follow the rules of entry or whilst on the grounds. This is really sad as without this we would not be able to play netball this year. Please spread the word amongst members, family and friends that we don’t need to be rude or aggressive to our volunteers. These requirements MUST be followed on game days as well as training nights. People refusing to abide by these rules could result in banning you from the courts. We don’t want to have to do this though the safety of all our members is paramount.

20.01.2022 Calling all UPNA FAMILIES - we are having the easiest fundraiser ever ! It won’t even cost you any money Due to covid restrictions any fundraising opportuniti...es have been limited this year....until now.... We are holding a Recycling Drive through the Scouts Recycling Centre. All you need to do is bring in ANY drink container that display the 10c refund symbol (please rinse out flavoured milk drink bottles) & drop them into the big BLUE bins situated around the courts. So get collecting!! Ask your family, friends, work, local businesses & neighbours if they have any for you to bring in too - every bit helps. Not only will you be helping to raise much needed funds for netball development in 2021 but we will be helping clean up our environment too

09.01.2022 2021 State Age Championships venue has been confirmed as Sunshine Coast Netball Association. Dates are 03-06 July 2021. We suggest booking accommodation ASAP to secure a place to stay. UPNA have confirmed that they are not supplying player accommodation this year. Players will also need to find their own transport to the venue each day.

Southport Carrara Netball Association are excited to let you know that our numbers are growing fast & our Club Carnival will definitely be going ahead. Please get your Nominations in fast to join us for this fun night... Due to the unfortunate circumstances of dealing with the COVID 19 situation for all of our Netball Competitions in 2020. SCNA have been unable to hold their annual Club Carnival. We are trying something new this year with a Twilight Carnival so that Players and Umpires do not have to deal with the heat of the day. We are opening our carnival up to all ages including 7/8/9’s through to Masters. The interest shown to our carnival will determine if this is to go ahead. If you would like to participate in SCNA Twilight Club Carnival Saturday 21st November please complete and return the Nomination Form. The information provided is as accurate as we can be until we have some idea of the number of teams interested and we will keep you informed of any changes along the way. Rising Suns is targeted at Boys aged 12-16 y...ears and will focus on growing, developing and creating more netball pathways for boys. The aim is to establish an annual, all boys netball competition within Brisbane and across Queensland. The QLD Suns are seeking Expressions of Interest from boys: * 12 to 16 years of age; * Wanting to continue playing netball; or * Wanting to learn this exciting, fast and skilful game. 02.01.2022 What an amazing job everyone did helping with the BBQ at CPNA on Saturday! Thank-you to everyone who baked goods & helped serve food throughout the day. I want to also thank all our teams for selling raffle tickets on the day & over the past few weeks, the support from all our Southern Stars families has been outstanding! Congratulations to our raffle winners especially our very own Melissa Stoermer (coach of Southern Angels) who is taking home 1st Prize! Last but not lea...st, a big shout out to Holly our fundraising co-ordinator who put all this together, you did such a fantastic job and everything ran smoothly due to you being so super organised! And a special mention to Repare Electrical and Andrews Meats at Loganholme for their food donations on the BBQ. With everyone’s efforts we are happy to announce we made just over $4,000 across our BBQ and raffles! All monies raised will go into our awards night, and other essential items to make your children’s netball season enjoyable as possible. Great Effort Everyone! UPNA are committed to securing continu...ous pathways for all our players and we are currently reaching out to all other Associations within Zone 6 to coordinate a competition for our region.
