24.01.2022 Jenny Denny and her trio!!! The concert was today and it was a really great way to get back to live music! The afternoon began with a lovely set from club VP Mark Wilkes, singing a mixture of original songs and covers.... We then enjoyed a fabulous set of original songs from Jenny Denny on guitar, accompanied by Erin Skinner on keyboard and vocals and Solomon Steele on guitar and vocals. The songs were lovely and heartfelt with some gorgeous harmonies. It was so nice to share this experience with some club regulars and some new (hopefully soon to be regulars!). Look out for the member's showcase concert on 13 December!

21.01.2022 Only 4 as going, we have sold a lot more tickets than that, but it looks like there will be tickets at the door. It will be so good to have live music back at the Folk Club. Come along and remember this one is at the School of Arts Hall right by Carlton Station.

19.01.2022 Dungeon Session coming up on Wednesday 17 February! 7.30 pm to 9.30pm at the Shopfront Arts Co-op, 88 Carlton Parade, Carlton. $5 donation. Come along and play a tune, sing a song, recite a poem or just listen in a relaxed, supportive group of folk music enthusiasts!... We hope you can join us! We'll be operating in a Covid-safe way.

17.01.2022 Our next concert is on 28TH FEBRUARY 2pm at 2 Short St Carlton NSW. - Only 3 weeks away!! It will be "TWO VOICES IN A CROWD performed by SWEET SONGS AND SOFT GUITAR" This is a song project of more than thirty songs written by the Australian folk icons, Judy Small & Eric Bogle. These songs, by Judy Small & Eric Bogle reflect the issues of a generation, and cover a wide range of subjects including women’s rights, social equity, indigenous culture & environmental activism, as... well as promoting freedom from hatred, war & oppression. The songs are performed in pairs, with one song by Eric Bogle & one song by Judy Small connected by a similar social theme. 14.01.2022 John Prine often comes into the discussions at the Dungeon Sessions. Here is Craig Dawson covering one of his best known songs. Craig and Simone are regulars at the Uranquinty Folk festival, and are reason enough to make the trip.
