20.05.2022 Just a reminder to everyone the Saturday social session from 5pm-7pm is cancelled for this weekend due to a tournament in the centre.

02.05.2022 WINTER PENNANT NOMINATIONS STILL OPEN We appreciate that the two offerings represents a fairly substantial change to previous years, and was designed as such to give players the option to choose whether they would play singles or not. Here are a few questions we've had: - Has the double offering reduced the games we play? Regardless of whether there were two options available or not, this pennant would have been 3 games only per person (either 3x doubles or 1x single...s and 2x doubles). It has been tested in Division 1 and reports there say it works well, with matches finishing before 9.30 PM. - Are we paying more to play? No, the price is reflective of the time courts are used not the amount of games you play. If teams could get through 5 games in 2 hours, this would be reflected in the offering. If players want to play more games, more court hire will need to be taken into account which would increase the price (which based on rough calculations from the last pennant would be $139 per player). Given the feedback received is that players want to be finished by 9.30 PM, this change has been implemented to facilitate the early finish. - What night will I play? This will depend on the number of entries received as we have been actively moving away from grading players into divisions dependant on what nights they prefer to play. We will try to have things matched up as close as they currently are (i.e. Div 4 Tuesday, and Div 3 Monday, Div 2 Thursday, and Div 1 on Wednesday), but will be dependant on entries across the two offerings. - Can I withdraw my entry? Yes! What we suggest is that players fill in the nomination form (and select the offering they want), in the notes section add in a comment about what day/s you can/can't play, and NOT complete the payment section (so you don't lose the money out of your account and we don't have to refund you). As we get closer to the closing date, we will advise those who have entered and our members as to the likely days of play, at which stage you can decide to finalise your nomination or request to withdraw. Go to https://www.stba.net.au/winter-pennant-nomination/ for full details and the entry form! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

06.04.2022 Hi all - as you're aware the STBA hall loves it when it rains heavily!! We've just been made aware there is some flooding to the entrance, the Jim Don room, and to the side of court 1. Staff are currently in the process of cleaning up as much as possible, but we will also discuss the issues with our insurer to see if we need to lodge a claim. The centre will be open as per www.stabacourts.skedda.com however we may need to alter some bookings to ensure our players can remain ...safe on the court. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us!
