The Real de a Ocho, also known as the Spanish dollar, the Eight Royals Coin, or the Piece of Eight (Spanish Peso de Ocho), is a silver coin, of approximately 38 mm diameter, worth eight Spanish reales, that was minted in the Spanish Empire after 1598.... This is part of my collection from my travels around the world - These have chop marks and some have been drilled for pendents. There is 49 in total. 23.01.2022 Carbide Miners Lamps - Great conversation pieces Complete with dings and dents from use in the mines, these lamps have not been cleaned or polished, parts have been added by the original miners. These old brass carbide miners lamps worked by mixing water with Calcium Carbide (CaC2) which generates Acetylene gas (Hc2H) which is then burned to make light. Lamp circa 1890.... 13.01.2022 A little more up cycling today Take an old Primus Kero stove, give it a good spit and polish. Turn it into a Desk lamp - very steampunk if I do say so. Put an old enamel pot on top (the type Grandma cooked with) All we have to do now is put a succulent in the pot and Wow the best bespoke piece of art in town.
