23.01.2022 Great achievement Paige! Paige Markland obtained an A+ in Research Project and delved deeply in the research of Prosthetics: How are robotic prosthetics shaping the future to pave a way to the bionic human?. Her project was not only clear and well presented, but truly interesting. Well done, Paige.

13.01.2022 Our Year 11 and 12 students enjoyed a great 3 day camp at Glenhaven Park, Stockport. The activities were challenging and our students showed great team work and initiative in creating ways to manoeuvre through obstacles. Relationships and unity were strengthened for this important year ahead.

12.01.2022 We were delighted but not surprised to see Sofia Mitchell-Padfield obtain an A+ in Research Project. Her research explored: To what extent are the sciences in Australia male dominated?. Her interest in science and the application of critical thinking permeated every part of the project. Well done, Sofia.

12.01.2022 Jacques van den Berg gained a well-deserved A+ in Research Project while delving into: What is the most effective process, for me personally, to learn Mandarin within a year? Jacques is already fluent in two languages and continues his studies in Spanish. Jacques has a heart for all of God’s people and we pray God will use Jacques’ language skills in the future. Well done, Jacques.

08.01.2022 A big thank you to Mrs Butler and students James, Lexi and Sophie who made some delicious treats for their "nude food" lunch boxes. They're doing their best to "wipe out waste" Well done students and thanks Mrs Butler ... :) (you can see more about this initiative here on the SA government site : http://www.wow.sa.gov.au/nude-food.html) "Nude Food is food without excess packaging. This reduces the amount of 'stuff' that needs to go in bins to be sent to landfill. Durable, reusable containers are a great way to bring food, as they may last from pre-school through to high school and beyond, providing long term cost savings and environmental benefits." (

02.01.2022 A good news story A big thank you to our ground staff who've done an amazing job over the years. This week Mal and Neville organised a new ute for the school, after 20 years of using the old one. We have not had a new vehicle at the school for 20 years, The old ute has manual window winders and a cassette deck to boot. ... This week Southern Vales took delivery of a brand new Toyota ute. This ute will be used by Neville who is based at Aldinga campus. Neville has worked for us for 4 years, His Horticultural and farming background has been invaluable at the Aldinga campus. Amazingly, Neville has used his own ute for daily work in the past - he really is a valued part of the SVCC community - For this we are so thankful and hope Neville enjoys the new car smell for as long as it lasts.

02.01.2022 Well done Naomi! The college would like to congratulate Naomi Bache for obtaining an A+ grade in Research Project. Her research around How effective are present efforts to control facial tumour disease in the Tasmanian devil? was well researched and presented. Her care for the topic has been commendable and admirable. Well done, Naomi.
