We have all our players representing in Championship and shield with a special shout-out to the U12 Girls showing some exciting stuff , the shield girls have qualified into championship also . Huge thank you to Kirsty who has done some amazing things with this group with the help of Shellie and Kristy. Exciting times ahead .

19.01.2022 Media Launch for the Tasmania Jack Jumpers in the National Basketball League! Premier Peter Gutwein, Sports Minister Jane Howlett, Glenorchy Mayor Christie Jo...hnston, Jack Jumpers CEO Simon Brookhouse and GM Jorrick Chivers with BTAS CEO Chris McCoy and some of our excited juniors with their new Jack Jumper gear! Chris McCoy stated: This is a tremendously exciting day for our sport after many people were involved in bringing this to fruition. The Basketball Tasmania membership looks forward to throwing massive support behind the NBL in Tasmania and I personally look forward to working very closely with Simon and his team. The NBL and team will drive great exposure for our sport, provide an aspirational target for our young boys into the NBL along with our girls into the WNBL. Our aim is to be the number 1 sport in Tasmania within five years and today’s progress is another step in the exciting journey.

13.01.2022 The game prior to the girls’ final is just going into the 4th quarter. The game will still be live streamed but not at the moment as there is a bit of a delay in the games

12.01.2022 Basketball United (Cavaliers, Dominoes,Grenadiers,New Norfolk and Southern Wolves) are actively seeking referees to officiate in our domestic roster. Games will be played on a Tuesday (girls) Thursday (boys) at Clarence Stadium. It Will be a fun and relaxed environment where you can learn the game in domestic setting and should you wish to progress further, you can then be looked at for Rep comps. No experience is necessary and training will be provided. If this is something you may be interested in please email [email protected] to obtain further details. Games start early March

10.01.2022 Day one of U12 State Champs in Devonport And we have 16 of the most amazing kids representing the Southern Wolves over both divisions. This group are our poster boys - they are the most beautiful bunch of kids that teach us more than we even realise - they are the future of our club. We win or we learn - and the boys did some learning today - their passion, effort and sportsmanship is what makes them amazing and experiences like the state champs will allow them to learn and g...row. We are so proud of them and cheering loudly for them down south. 10.01.2022 It’s been a busy day at the office for our younger Wolves today. The U14 Div 1 &2 biys came up against some tough competition, both teams missing some players but went in with a great mind set. They were led by some great coaches and gave everything . Both teams should be very proud of there efforts today as we are The U14 Div 1 girls have continued there stellar season with a great win over Somerset and an outstanding OVERTIME 1 point win over the Penguin Blues. This has set them up to pop straight into the Semis tomorrow and they will play the winner out of Smithton and Burnie to progress to the Big Dance. The winner out of Penguin V City will play Devonport to decide who else goes to the GF. Such an exciting pathway . We will keep you updated . Good Luck to all Wolves tomorrow. Make many memories on and off the court

Unfortunately the U14 Shield girls went down by 1 point, the U14 Championship girls won there encounter against Grenadiers and the U16 Championship girls win against Glenorchy. 09.01.2022 We came to learn and that we did on day one. We drew an extremely tough pool - winners of the North and North West Div 1 comps. These boys - 2 losses and I couldn’t be any prouder. They played till the end. After a shell shock start they worked hard to match the intensity - for some a first at State Champs plus 2 first year players and missing 2 gun players in Sam and Flynn. A huge shoutout Liam for stepping in from NNBA and fitting in so well. I have always had so much fai...th in you guys and yesterday I was so proud to see you backing yourselves. The intensity you bought to the 2nd game was amazing.Keep aiming high. The Championship team came to support and cheer on the Shield team in the game of the year for them. It is such a proud moment not only for the club but for the sport.
