22.01.2022 https://www.service.nsw.gov.au//apply-small-business-covid Further funding grant: Small business owners, make sure you look to see if you are eligible for this further $3K business grant to help with re-opening your business post-covid. Even if you received the $10K business grant, you may still qualify for this one too. Good luck.

11.01.2022 https://www.newcastleherald.com.au//62500-new-truck-trip/ Well this is likely to have far reaching impacts on our West Lake roads and communities if it goes ahead!!! I too can understand the need to keep local jobs and facilities viable, but the potential hazards not to mention impacts on our roads will be enormous. ... What do you think Southlake members? Greg Piper what can we do to add our opinions to this before it closes to further consultation?

10.01.2022 Another small but engaged group attended our 2nd Small Business October event : the 7 Secrets of Seeing, Improved Communication seminar at the MMPC, where we learnt how to read people's faces to get to know more about them and how they like to be communicated with. Thanks to Alan Stevens from Newcastle we've all got some new skills now. Take a look at the following link for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsxuiaR9G5o I was great to have Alan with us. Thanks too to the NSW Govt who provided us with a grant that enabled us to have these 2 events.

Please get your family together to brainstorm ideas, you never know who or what might hold a key piece to the puzzle.

08.01.2022 A small but very interactive group attended our first face to face Small Business October event last night at the Morisset Multi-Purpose Centre. Our guest speaker was Angela Raspass from www.angelaraspass.com Your Next Chapter - for Business & LIfe Beyond 40 (FB page). Thanks to those of you who came along. We had good interaction and conversations with all, and it was wonderful to have a "3D" catchup. Our next event is on October 27th - Alan Stevens will be talking about Improving Communication by reading people's faces. A fascinating subject, and useful for everyone no matter what age. See our webpage to register.

04.01.2022 https://www.afr.com//winarch-capital-s-morisset-developmen Not sure how many of your saw this article, but those who have supported the Cedar Mill development, this approval brings it 60% of the way there. 5 of the 6 DA's have been approved which is touted to bring a major focus and opportunity development to all of Morisset and surrounds, which will have a major positive flow on effect to businesses in the area whilst providing more things to do for us and our families. C...ongratulations Winarch Capital, Paul Lambess, Dantia and thanks Lake Macquarie Council. Exciting stuff indeed. You might want to join our SBCCA hosted ZOOM call on September 8th which will be attended by Greg Piper NSW State Member, Paul Lambess from Winarch Capital and Bryan Garland from the Johnson Property Group as they provide us with a Community Update that is relevant to us all.
