24.01.2022 MAPLE CAFE TRAINER OF THE WEEK This week's voucher goes to a real quiet achiever at the Knights and a young man who's cricket continues to go from strength to strength. Hardly missing a session all preseason, Tom O'Connell looks poised for another great season ahead.... Having been at the Knights for a couple of seasons now, Tom is another who has fast become part of the furniture within the Fortress. A real clubman. With the hard work and dedication Tom continually demonstrates, it's no surprise to see him take home this week's award. Well done Tom #SLCCKNIGHTS #GOKNIGHTS #MAPLECAFE

11.01.2022 SPONSOR SHOUT OUTS Over the course of the next week (and in the lead up to Round 1 and the Season Launch), we will be introducing and reintroducing our social media followers to our generous and immensely appreciated club sponsors that help us keep the wheels turning. What better way to kick things off on a sunny Friday afternoon than to announce that Physiofit are on board again and continuing as long term major sponsor of the SLCC.... We wish to thank Lisa and her wonderful team for their unwaivering support over the years to date, with a new two year deal penned this week seeing the partnership through to the end of a TWELFTH season!! To have a like minded, community focused local business like Physiofit choosing to partner with us for so many years now has been a real leg up for the club and an association we are extremely proud of. For all your physiotherapy, remedial massage, women's health or personal training needs, make sure you get in touch with the team at Physiofit #SLCCKNIGHTS #GOKNIGHTS #PHYSIOFIT #PROUD

10.01.2022 MAPLE CAFE TRAINER OF THE WEEK This week's recipient of the Maple Cafe $25 voucher is a true standard setter at the Knights both on and off the field. Since joining the club a few short seasons ago, Sisitha Jayasinghe, AKA Sisco, has really stamped his mark on the SLCC and we are so much better for it!... Always setting a great example for all club members at training and taking huge pride in his performances across all facets of the game. A real live wire off the field as well, Sisco oozes energy and enthusiasm for the the game, the club and his clubmates - a real pleasure to be around and there's no surpises in him picking up this week's award. Good work Sis! #SLCCKNIGHTS #GOKNIGHTS #MAPLECAFE

10.01.2022 MAPLE CAFE TRAINERS OF THE WEEK A catch up on the winners of the last two weeks worth of Maple vouchers here for you Knights fans. Josh Freestone and Alex Licht... JOSH is a veteran at The Fortress these days and no doubt this award will be up there for him with the Premiership Medal, Ricky Ponting Medal and 1st Grade bowling awards he already has taking pride of place on the shelf above his bed In all seriousness though, a passionate clubman, tireless volunteer and consummate professional on the training track so no surprises here. ALEX is new to the Knights this season (not that you'd know it) coming to us from Wynyard CC after relocating to Launceston. He's put in a massive pre season, hardly missing a session since July. Decked himself out in club kit from day dot and has put in 120% at every session. A ripping bloke with a club full of new mates and a strong club focus, Lichty has slotted into life as a Knight as seamlessly as it gets. A real asset we are stoked to have. Well done lads #SLCCKNIGHTS #GOKNIGHTS #MAPLECAFE

BRUNY PENGUINS 171 off 40 A massive thankyou goes out to President Scott Bryan and the people and players of the Bruny Island Penguins CC. A long but very rewarding journey to a place of absolute pristine and beauty and a very picturesque cricket ground. Great friendships developed and a very enjoyable game of cricket. Biggest thanks to Robbo Crane and son Jack for their hospitality in accomodating most of the Knights at the Taj Mahal of family shacks on North Bruny, a history tour in itself. Thanks also to Gavin Nutting for cooking up a much needed breakfast this morning. The cricket result went our way as did the mateship time. A great start to the year. Hawk
